Well i thought i had it figured out - the amenities are abundant for the handicap/accessiblity features and the Hampton Inn website has all these listed. (Also the hotwire regular section of hotels has all those amenities listed for Hampton inn as well)

So i went ahead and booked and turns out it was the Comfort Inn.....which no where on its website does it list those types of amenities

Sorry to see you didn't receive the hotel you were hoping for. Note that the Hampton Inn currently shows a 4.5/5.0 Tripadvisor rating, whereas before purchase this HOTWIRE offer shows a 3.5/5.0 TA rating, which could have been the first clue that this wasn't likely the Hampton Inn. Feel free to ask the board for help before making your next opaque purchase.

Granted i would've book it regardless had i known it was comfort but the hampton in a non-smoking - the only reason i preffered that. But i still think that hotwire tries to lead people to think its a better hotel but playing with the amenities.

HOTWIRE can only 'play' with the amenities to a limited extent since the hotel needs to have all the amenities they list as being available (but don't need to list all amenities that are offered at the hotel).

You need to utilize all the clues that HOTWIRE offers in attempting to identify any property offered. Next time ask the board for help and/or a second set of eyes to confirm what you think you're about to purchase, as i think it's evident from the above that we could have predicated that this was not likely the Hampton Inn you thought you'd be receiving.
