dahammer
Won on my first bid, used BiddingHelper.com.com to check out HOTWIRE. It appeared that the 2.5* Clarion was available, but the reviews are mixed with a 2.5 out of 5 Tripadvisor rating, so I commenced bidding on PRICELINE.Offer Price: $45.00Taxes & Fees: $12.29Total: $57.29The rack rate was $99, looks like this property added "Spa" to it's moniker, that should be an interesting development. I was hoping to get the Best Western, but his will do. Link to comment

ctrlaltcoupe
You'll like Nichols Village. As far as I know, the Best Western Scranton East is no longer a Best Western. I don't think it has any national affiliation now. They had a plastic banner covering the Best Western sign when I drove by 2 weeks ago. Link to comment
dahammer
Thanks for the heads up, this reservation is for my wife who doesn't always share my zeal for a deal. It looks like the new name of the Best Western property is Scranton East Hotel and Convention Center. I have not stayed at Nichols Village in a few years, I think they were in the middle of refurbishing some of the rooms during my previous stay. I just could not pull the trigger on spending $125 + for a room at a mid level chain like HI Express, Hampton or Fairfield. So, what's good for the goose is good for the gander! Link to comment
