lyly8577
My first time to use Priceline. In the "Reservation Name" part, it states "age 21 or older". Then, will I be able to bid for hotels if I am under age 21?Thanks sincerely! Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! It could be an issue...While some hotels allow those who are 18 years and older to check-in, some require at least one guest in the room be at least 21 years old. This can be for a multitude of reasons, but the main one being access to alcohol if the room has a mini-bar. My guess is that PRICELINE uses the 21+ age in order to easily cover all possible scenarios. If you are 18+ a safer best would be to use HOTWIRE, where after you click the CONTINUE button, on the bottom of the ensuing page in the 'Know Before You Go' box, it indicates how old guest need to be in order to check-in.What city/zone are you looking to travel to and what are the date(s) of your stay, desired star rating and budget? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. nick5
Just tossing this out there, but some places work really hard at keeping the prom crowd and party groups out, so they do not let people check in under age (21 or 18 depending on their policy) so that might be why PRICELINE put the age in at 21.
