Sometimes if you check hotiwre alot I do think they hide some of

the amenities so you are not sure.

Will try to get better at follup up - never see your questions since I could not get back on BB'for a while -

I just booked a 3-star hotel for Ames at $65.  I've been using this service in combination with Hotwire for about 4 years now as my son is a student at Iowa State.  It has always been the Gateway Hotel if it was a 3-star.  Well, this time it booked me at the Holiday Inn Ames conference Center.  It's right down the road from the Gateway, but I'm a bit disappointed since I've always enjoyed my stays at the Gateway.  I'm not sure how to tell the difference between the Holiday Inn and Gateway since the amenities are very similiar.  I'll give a review when I return from my stay next weekend.
