Governator
Needed one night for somewhere between Falls Church and Bethesda. No luck in VA, so went to Bethesda zone. Started with $45, offered room for $13 more, I declined and added Laurel to rebid, got it at $50. Total with fees $63.48. This is the regular Marriott on Pooks Hill Road, not the Suites. Web site shows lowest rates of $109, but also is a little scary because it mentions "Hotel guest rooms under renovation from 7/18/05 through 9/27/05". Does that mean I'm getting a room only days away from being renovated (and desparately needing it?) I'll report back.... Link to comment

Governator
Just wanted to report back that the hotel was fine, no complaints at all. It is an older hotel, but very well maintained and clean. The room condition was good, nice beddings, decent furniture and somewhat worn but still very acceptable carpet. They had a sample of the new room decor down in the lobby, after the renovation it will be very nice. The staff was friendly, no "priceline attitude". I'd have no hesitations staying again, it was a good value. Link to comment
Ringman
I'm looking at the same hotel for 7/16-7/24---Will PL keep it (or even have rooms from them) during the construction period??I would think that any objective look would negate the 3* rating if you'll be surrounded by construction!Any other experiences with this issue- or PL policy governing it??? :) Link to comment
