Priceline Hotel: Rockford, IL - no luck 9/9/2011 - 9/10/2011 :-(

My first "failure" at Priceline (failure being defined as my unwillingness to buy opaque unless I save 25% off buying directly):

Rockford, IL

on 9/2 $35 2.5 star 1 room

9/4 bid $37 for 2.5 star 1 room

9/5 bid $50 3 star 1 room

9/5 $50 2.5 star 1 room

9/5 $49 2.0 star 1 room

Hotwire had a 2 star at $34 ($43 with taxes/fees) Friday morning, I didn't pull the trigger then and it was gone after lunch. Now takes $63 ($77 tot) for a two star.

$67.49 gets RedRoof directly from their .com with AAA- Oh well! I'll still use BB next time I travel.
