blindman
Another vague question :) I'm slowly assembling a NE jaunt, will post winning bids so far later. So Far: 22nd June -3st JulyFirst 3 days:- NothingHave a base in Metro West - Framingham 4 days.Followed by One overnight in Cape Cod Hyannis Harbour.Last three days plan to go back to Boston (Airport) and dump the car, see the rest on foot.No luck yet, but still time I believe.Question:I had in my mind to explore the Maine coast with a base at Portland. No luck with bidding so far, so should I venture further North (don't mind the 3hr drive + jet lag ) :) or should I base myself in Peabody\Danvers and head north from there??I'm looking for a basic PL hotel, that's good value (Residence inns etc)Ta Link to comment
blindman
Don't usually go this low on PL but hadn't had any luck with the usual 3* or 2.5* and I saw a sucessful bid at this price for the end of May + the winner said she'd liked her previous stay. Also two good reviews on tripadvisor, one fairly recent.Hotel Web-siteTripadvisorJust to see if I could get it lower I bid$30 1* 1 night (22nd June only) Failed$35 1* 2 nights (22-23) Failed.$38 1* 3 nights (22-24th inclusive) BingoTotal of $131.54 including the PL taxes etc.Average of $43 per night.Web-site rate is $83.99 inclusiveHope to file a report when I return.
