We needed a room in Vegas for a Saturday night, and did not want to be near the madness of the Strip.

We thought the Convention Center zone might have bargains, since most conventions take place during the week.

We bid $61 and got the Renaissance Las Vegas, a nice Marriott property

Total cost with tax was $76.22. Free parking but a charge for internet.

We walked the mile to the Strip, but should have bought a day pass for the monorail which stops right at the hotel.

The walk-up rate for the hotel was $129.
