mini__me
Scored this the other night for short stay in Philly between my other trips to Vegas and Miami.Started bidding at $44 was imediately offered $56 for the nights, I hadn't used any free rebid zones so just worked my way up till it took $51.An awesome rate, at an awsome hotel for a gameday weekend I think!!! mini__me
Pretty sure it was $50 as I skipped to $46 then went up $ at a time as I thought it would probably come in around halfway, with the 4*'s in Philly there are plenty of rebid zones and I have plenty of time till the trip. lee1
On occasion Priceline will give you a counterbid immediately after your initial bid has been rejected. It has been my experience that if you have a "free rebid zone" and bid somewhere between your initial bid and the couterbid offerer by Priceline you will frequently get the hotel. Link to comment

cognin
If I don't get a count-bid,does that mean my bid was too HIGH?thanks,Mike Link to comment
thereuare
If your bid is too high than it would be accepted and result in what we refer to as an overbid. If you'd like a bidding strategy please ask for help in your existing PHILADELPHIA thread (don't worry that it is in the Hotiwre section of the board... we'll move it to the Priceline section if that is the service you ultimately use) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
