paxnrth
I've tried for a 4* room in Seattle June 15-19, Wednesday to Sunday am.I started at $80 and went up by $5 to $115 a night, all were rejected.I've seen other bids in the $100 range accepted. Is it harder to get 4 nights in a row, should I break it up to try a shorter stay?Or is this just a busy week in Seattle? Thanks for the help. Link to comment
thereuare
The first two nites of your stay are more expensive than the last two nite, and the Westin is sold-out (thus eliminating one hotel from the possibilties).I would first try to bid for the last two nites as follows:Select 4* Downtown for 6/17-6/19...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone....Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone....Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone....Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone....Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone....Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone....Bid $120.Report back (in this thread) how the above goes.If successful please start a new thread for the balance of your stay, if not, we'll continue this thread.Good Luck, any questions feel free to ask. paxnrth
Since the first two days were most important, I did it the other way, broke up my stay of 6/15- to 6/19 and bid on 6/15-6/17 first down town, and I was accepted at Seattle Sheraton after I worked it up to $120 a night. I'll move out of town and stay in a cheaper place like mentioned above for the 7/17-19 stay. For some reason the hotel was full up on Saturday! Thanks for the Help.Do you want me to sent a new email with the sucessful bid information in it with information for others? Link to comment
