whplanet
Can someone help me ID the 3.5* hotel that comes up for $90/night on 8/26-8/29 in San Juan? Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Tennis Nearby The amenities seem to match Sheraton Old San Juan, which would be a good hotel for us, but "casino" is not listed. This makes me worried that it's the Sheraton Convention Center like another poster found out the hard way. Also, if it's the Sheraton Old San Juan, are resort fees covered in the Hotwire "Tax recoverycharges & fees"? AaronJB
The Sheraton Old San Juan has been seen with a couple of different amenity sets, including this one, so that would be my guess. If you look on the detail page for the listing and then scroll down to the bottom, this is listed: "This hotel typically charges all guests a resort fee regardless of how the room is booked. The fee is about 15% of your room rate, and they collect it directly from you, so it won't show in your Hotwire Link to comment
whplanet
Started bidding at $70 and worked my way up until $75 was accepted.I got the following:Radisson Ambassador1369 Ashford Avenue, San Juan, PR 907787-721-7300Offer Price: $75.00Rooms: 1Nights: 3 Room Subtotal: $225.00Taxes & Fees: $35.76Total Charged to Card: $260.76I've been using priceline, with BetterBidding's help, for years and this is the first time I didn't get the hotel I wanted/expected. I was hoping for the Sheraton Old San Juan, but I knew the Radisson was an option and accepted the risk, so of course I can't complain. My winning streak has come to an end, but I'll just have to hope it works out for the best. :-) Link to comment
AaronJB
Sorry to hear that you didn't get the hotel you were hoping for, but hopefully the Radisson will work out okay for your stay.Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE link.Enjoy your stay. Link to comment
whplanet
I'm not sure why my Hotwire ID question thread and my Priceline winning bid thread were combined here... did someone make a mistake? Link to comment
whplanet
Does Radisson Ambassador have a resort fee? It doesn't show up when I price out a reservation directly on their site like it does with other hotels that charge one. Link to comment
thereuare
I'm not sure why my Hotwire ID question thread and my Priceline winning bid thread were combined here... did someone make a mistake? No, all posts for the same stay go in the same thread. This makes it easier for others to see everything considered before receiving the hotel ultimately won, as well as results in fewer threads which don't have a 'conclusion' (for when a user starts a HOTWIRE thread, then ultimately uses PRICELINE, and never 'close' the HOTWIRE thread with their decision to use PRICELINE instead).Does Radisson Ambassador have a resort fee? It doesn't show up when I price out a reservation directly on their site like it does with other hotels that charge one.I'm not 100% certain, but i don't think this hotel charges a Resort fee. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
