thereuare Posted July 23, 2011 Report Share Posted July 23, 2011 It's Washington DC so there is almost always something going on... protests, rallies, government meetings, conventions, etc... all of this in addition to summer family travel to the nations' capitol.Perhaps not the sole reason, but at the moment i suspect this area is probably filled with TV crew, journalists, etc covering the national debt situation, along with government employees handling the issues (and protecting their interests), which only adds to hotel demand.What is your desired zone(s), star rating and budget?Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
