JohnFromMSN
Dates: 12/25 to 12/31I used your link for the search and am ready to buy if it is a nicer property.Area: Fort Lauderdale BeachPrice: $123/night (fab deal for that period)Stars: 4.5*Customer Acceptance: 95% RecommendedAmenities (after clicking through):Resort Near Beach Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Tennis Nearby Children's Activity Program I think the Children's Activity Program + Smoke Free + Laundry are going to really help whittle it down so I'm going to start trying to figure it out on my own as well. Would it be safe to say that perhaps a list would be: Westin Beach Resort, Marriott Harbor Beach, Hyatt Pier 66, W Hotel Fort Lauderdale Beach? I'm guessing maybe a 4* was upgraded? Link to comment
JohnFromMSN
Based upon my research, I'm going to venture a guess that the Westin Beach Resort was upgraded. I'm going to mull it over in the next few hours, that is a very fine property. Link to comment
thereuare
Are you still seeing this property offered on HOTWIRE at the 4.5* level as a current search for your dates shows a 4* property with the amenities above offered at $123/nite.Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.PS- please also update your NYC Hotwire thread with your current thoughts or any decisions you have made regarding that stay. Thanks. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
JohnFromMSN
It has now dropped down to 4*. It was definitely 4.5* yesterday, I have the screen prints to prove it. Link to comment
JohnFromMSN
So this is definitely the Westin Beach Resort. My corporate rate is $142 and I'd rather pay that than $123 through HOTWIRE because it does include free HSIA and allows for cancellation. With that said, I'm going to try bidding on PRICELINE up to $105 and that is enough savings to make it worthwhile. Link to comment
