Won on first bid 4/14. The bed was delightful although yet again they put me next to the ice maker, it is difficult for a woman to request a room away from the elevator and ice/vending machine without sounding like a b*tch. Getting sick of that. Housekeepers were literally yelling to each other up and down the hall at 8 am. I guess it was time to get up & get going in spite of getting in at 2:30 am.

A "would it be possible..." in front of your request is usually a nice way to ask for any requests that you may have. Everyone has different preferences, and some may prefer being closer to the elevators so they don't have to walk as far, so unless you make your preferences known the clerk may think that they're doing you a favor by putting you close to the elevator.

It never hurts to ask :)
