By reading previous postings, I noticed that the price for weekend is much more expensive than week days in Santa Barbara area.

In the past few days, I tried to bid a hotel room (1/14/2010-1/15/2010) in Santa Barbara on Priceline.com.

Here is a summary of my bidding history:

$50 santa barbara 3* failed

$55 santa barbara, Golen 3* failed

$60 santa barbara, Golen3* failed

$73 santa barbara, Golen 3* failed

$55 santa barbara, Golen 2.5* failed

$50 santa barbara, Golen 2* failed

$60 2* ACCEPTED- Sandpiper Lodge!! Finale.

This hotel is listed as having been downgraded to two star. Fortunately this person listed the bids they made, though. They did get accepted while bidding for a 2 star, but based on the numbers they were bidding, it doesn't necessarily mean that it has been downgraded. Does the zone list 2.5 stars as an option? This person bid 55 for a 2.5. Then 50 for a 2. Then 60 for a 2. They could have been upgraded to 2.5 but neglected to report it. The first bid over 55 for 2 or 2.5 was the last bid for 60. Isn't it possible they could have had an accepted bid for 2.5 for anywhere from 56 to 60?
