Based upon the amenities, the hotel was likely the Holiday Inn near the Vandy campus where I will be attending a football game.The frugal side of me decided to see if Priceline can do better. Bids for 4* and 3.5* at $60 were rejected, and 3* was accepted. Taxes & fees brought the total to $79.23. Valet parking is $24 so that bumps it over the HI that has free parking.The Doubletree is much closer to all the downtown action so I'm happy with the results, especially when the hotel's web rates start at $170.I used the site's link to start my bidding.
