My sister has a big meeting with QVC and decided to say the weekend in Philadelphia so asked for some help on getting a deal on a hotel.

Was (pleasantly) surprised to see the Westin come up.

$109 per night - 375.95 all in. (note - it was coming up at $121 p/n yesterday).

A great deal - esp. since the going pre-paid rate on westin.com is 235 p/n, so a savings of more than 50% !!

UPDATE:

Applied for and successfully received the $30 Entertainment Card rebate.

So, net room rate drops to $99 per night.

Post-stay Update

When my sister checked in she presented her SPG Gold card. She was quickly acknowledged as an Elite customer (even though I had signed her up just 3 weeks beforehand and was able to get her account 'upgraded to gold') and was given a preferred room (high floor with a view) and offered a late check-out to 4pm. She was pleased.

She told me that she loved the hotel and in the end the trip was worthwhile as she sealed the deal with QVC.
