PDX Portland Fullsize Alamo

I've been bidding this on Priceline for more than a week. Started at $20, then $25, then $35... always refused.

Today, tried a jump to $45, since my trip is in a week and I wanted to get this nailed down. Priceline said NO again, but countered with $57/day.

I went to Hotwire (used the PRICELINE link from this board!) and was offered $55.95/day for a full-size. I booked (hey, a buck is a buck), and got Alamo.

There must be something going on at this time in Portland (Shakespeare Festival, maybe?) because the rates are sky-high compared to

those in the middle of September.
