I'm want a 4 star hotel in downtown Vancouver from 14 September - 19 September

My Budget would be not more than $100/night (offer on hotwire for $114 for 4* hotel in downtown Vancouver)

I tried again today (after 24 hours) with 5 rebid zone strategy and $5 increments reaching $95 with no luck.

Could it be that I'm staying for 5 nights? shall I break it down into 2 & 3 nights?

You should try your max before you split you stay. It could be that there's a night or two that's more expensive. Do you see any change on HOTWIRE for the rates if you break down your dates?

Are you bidding for Downtown Vancouver only? The hotel you're seeing on Hotwire is probably the Sheraton Wall Centre, which is in Priceline's Granville Entertainment District zone.

As per tilepusher's post, the HOTWIRE hotel you're seeing is probably not in PRICELINE's Downtown zone... did you choose your $100 limit based upon the HOTWIRE offering?

My limit was based on the hotwire offering and other successful bids on betterbidding.com

I have tried going up to $110/night today and changing dates to 14/9 - 18/9 with no success.

Finally!!

I started bidding again this evening for 4* downtown Vancouver (zone 4) at $80, my bid was rejected but I got a counteroffer for $95. I accepted it and got the Hyatt Regency at $ 95!!

Regular price at hotel website is $249/night.
