Hi,

I am currently planning a trip to Virginia Beach and my dates will be from July 31st to August 8th. We need 2 roooms and would like to stay close to the beach, hopefully oceanfront.

I have tried bidding up to 95$ for a 3* in VA BEACH area with no success.

Any help would be appreciated..

Thanks!

Hi Yellowdog,

Thanks for helping.

The VA Beach Area is the only one we are willing to stay as we would prefer to be with walking distance to the beach.

I am willing to go up to ~125 a night per rooms

Is this realistic ?

Last year thru your help I managed to get the Doubletree for 100$ a night. Hopefully I can get something closer to the beach this time.

Another option at ~60$ would be Norfolk. Last year I also stayed at the Holiday Inn Exec Centre for 60$, but would prefer the VA Beach area.

Any help would be appreciated, I will use your PRICELINE links once I book.

Thanks so much!

At the 3* level in this region you have THREE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

(NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc)

I'd at least keep trying every few days, as if traffic stays high, there's certainly a chance that prices could ramp higher. While waiting until the last minute does work at times, if there's something going on during these dates, prices may stay around these levels or head higher.

Thank you for using the site's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
