Priceline Hotel: NYC for pre-cruise stay Aug 6 1 night

I believe we will be sailing from Red Hook (Brooklyn) on Princess. We are plannign ona rriving Friday morning and hoping to see some of the sights in NYC. Any suggestions on what areas to stay in and what type of budget I am looking at. I was thinking about $150. There will be 2 adults and 2 teens.

We might stay 1 night when we come back.

As PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, and hotel rooms in NYC are notoriously small and there are a high percentage of rooms which only have one bed (and can't accommodate a rollaway), we don't typically recommend using PRICELINE in NYC when you need more than double occupancy.

HOTWIRE may still be an option as they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy per room, guaranteeing sleeping arrangements for everyone you include in your search. However, searching HOTWIRE for 2adults/2children doesn't currently offer anything within (or even close) to your budget.
