Searching HOTWIRE there is a BIG price jump between midsize and premium, so if you're premium bids are rejected up to your limit you might want to also consider a midsize if that would work for your needs.

Priceline - 10th bid the charm! Just when I was ready to accept full or standard, thought last chance as travel in 3 days: $25 premium DCA through Alamo. This allows us to use miles as needed price to be at just under $350.... a big savings to our expenses! So the lesson here is not to give up if time is on your side...Perseverence (sic) wears the crown!
