StreakedBlonde
1st time bidder got $60 bid on 1st try, taxes $16.24, booked 5/19/10 for one night at airport Doubletree for July 10-11 stay. I was happy with my bid until I saw other bids won for $40. I guess I should have started lower, but am still happy with my bid as most hotels for a July stay are priced for high season, and it is near the 4th of July holiday period. Link to comment
yellowdog
Welcome to BetterBidding and congratulations on your success!Thank you for sharing your result with the board!Yes, $60 is a bit high for the first bid in this zone. But rates are date specific so you can't really compare them. Feel free to post for help if you have any upcoming stay. But the main thing is that you're happy with the result :) Enjoy your stay. Please use the site's HOTWIRE and PRICELINE links to start future purchases.Yellowdog. Link to comment
StreakedBlonde
We are actually looking for a hotel for July 3- 7 in Seattle, also. We will not be renting a car so hope to be close to most tourist areas in Seattle. I have been told the downtown area would be best. If we bid with PL for a 4 or 5* downtown, where should I start the bidding? I have checked prices for those dates at downtown hotels and the prices run $158 to $245 per night. Thanks in advance for your help. :) Link to comment
