fjx
Just returned from my stay at the Aruba Renaissance Resort. Thought I would send this along. When I arrived at the Renaissance I discovered there were two separate buildings in two separate locations. One the Marina Hotel and the other the Ocean Suites. I was placed at the Marina Hotel. I bid for Resort level on Priceline. The Ocean Suites is a Resort level accommodation, the Marina Hotel is not. I would rate the Marina at 3.5 or 4.0. When I protested I was told that the two units were all part of the Renaissance Aruba Resort. Even though I had to take a provided shuttle to get to the Ocean Suites portion. It was available to me. If I wanted to stay at the Ocean Suites there would be an additional charge. So, just a word of caution. If you bid for a Resort level of accommodation on Aruba, you could get a lesser level. I called Priceline, and asked how they could list two separate buildings at two separate locations as one level of accommodation? Customer service was no help. We still had a nice time. But may use Hotwire next time. Link to comment
AaronJB
Very sorry to hear about the situation - unfortunate that the two properties differ (and are far enough apart to require a shuttle to get from one to the other.) :) Link to comment
