Mandagirl
I hope this is the right section :) My boyfriend and I need a hotel in July. He doesnt have his credit card yet but we want to start bidding. Does anyone know if we use one card (his fathers) to pay for the hotel can we than switch it for his once it comes in (before we get there I mean)? We dont want to get into the hassle of authorization forms etc. Are they going to require the same card that was used to purchase Link to comment
g-man
You can pay with any card. Just make sure that you enter the correct name for whoever is staying in the room. The hotel never actually knows YOUR card number. You are buying from Priceline and Priceline is "buying" from the hotel with their own card. Link to comment
Romelle
The PRICELINE charge is taken as soon as a bid has been accepted. While you can show a different card at check-in when they ask for one "for incidentals", you can't move the original room charge from your dad's card to another. Romelle Link to comment
Mandagirl
That works fine if we can pay with one and use another to check inLOL we sound like kids but its just that he is from the UK and credit cards dont seem to be as popular over there so hes never needed one. For stuff like this they use debit cards. He came here in December through Expedia and never used a card for the flight or hotel Link to comment
