  4. Last week
  5. For starters how do any of these work for your needs: 3* Richmond West End (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $67/nite with: Free Parking Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Courtyard by Marriott Richmond West 3.5* Midlothian (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $71/nite with: Free Parking Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Four Points by Sheraton Midlothian You an identify these, as well as most other hotels, using a new feature of our BiddingHelper.com tool. Using the BiddingHelper to start your search, then in the EASY VIEW tab or the PRICELINE EXPRESS tab, hover your mouse (or click) the 'FIND MATCH in HOTEL LIST' button and you should reveal the name of the hotel. If you decide to bid on priceline (we have set up the site BiddingForHotelRooms.com for easy access to the bidding page) how do you ensure that the hotel you will receive includes Free Parking? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how you'd like to proceed (or how it goes if you take one of the offers above) and we'll take it from there.
  6. You can easily identify this, as well as most other HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS, hotels using a new feature we have added to our bidding helper tool. Search using the BiddingHelper.com tool, then in the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW or PRICELINE EXPRESS tab hover over the 'FIND MATCH in HOTEL LIST' button... if a hotel is not found further instructions are provided in order to have our systems do a 'deeper dive' and further research. For this offer: 3* HOTWIRE Mississauga for $46 Free Parking Free Internet Indoor Pool Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business ==> Courtyard by Marriott Toronto Mississauga/West would be the best guess Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  7. Yes, I'm finding the same on HOTWIRE. Thanks again for checking.
  8. Whether to bid or go with a PRICELINE EXPRESS property depends how flexible you are... if you're willing to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating (or higher) that you choose vs. being able to guess/target the specific hotel that you will receive. Is there a reason you mention the two hotels above, as i think there are better options available (especially when also considering HOTWIRE). For example: 4* HOTWIRE Midtown East for $105 Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business ==> Even Hotel Midtown East 4* HOTWIRE Times Square for $120 Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible ==> Hilton Times Square Thoughts on either of these properties and how they will work for your plans? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide or how we can be of further help.
  9. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you're happy with the results... hope you're liking the new RevealHotels.com tool. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay.
  10. Earlier
  11. Certainly plenty of time between now and your trip for something else to come up or a lower price to be found. We have just added a new 'instant ID' feature to BiddingHelper.com which should make it easy for you to keep on top of what hotels are being offered. After your BiddingHelper.com search: 1) click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW or PRICELINE EXPRESS tab 2) hover your mouse over the 'FIND MATCH in HOTEL LIST' button (or click if on a mobile device) 3) the best guess for this hotel will be shown (or if not ID'd a button to have RevealHotels.com research the property) This new system above is not only easier to use, but it's also more extensive as it includes hotels that we have researched (and are confident in the ID) but have not yet been reported to the board. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Good luck and keep us updated on your progress or how we can be of further help.
  12. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you scored a great deal at this property and that you're happy with the outcome. Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay... and good luck in Vegas!

  14. The board's BiddingHelper.com tool has a new feature that can easily ID this, as well as most, HOTWIRE (or PRICELINE EXPRESS) hotels. Simply start your search with the BiddingHelper and then in the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW (or PRICELINE EXPRESS) tab hover your mouse over the 'FIND MATCH in HOTEL LIST' to instantly see the best guess. If/when a hotel is not identified a button will be displayed for more in-depth analysis from RevealHotels.com For this offer: 5* HOTWIRE North of Champs Elysées - Arc de Triomphe for $183 Free Internet Boutique Smoke Free Restaurant Business ==> best guess would be the De Vigny Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  15. We have added this hotel to the Hotel List based upon your report above, but our new 'instant match' feature also includes hotels that may not be on the hotel list yet but have been previously researched by us, as well as other 'checks and balances' to help minimize the chances of any erroneous IDs.
  16. Glad to hear you like it! Please help spread the word about this new BiddingHelper.com feature.
  17. Actually, I'm considering invoking arbitration. I am legally entitled to the benefit of my bargain, which is the value of a hotel for Dec. 22-26 in the Empire State Building Area that has a king bed and a sofabed and is a hotel at one of the the four locations mapped on their Express Deal offer page. They owe me more than cancellation and a refund. In addition, arbitration provides the possibility of a $5000 minimum recovery if an arbitrator should award me more than the last written settlement offer provided by Priceline, plus costs and attorney's fees. See Priceline's Terms and Conditions, Part I-A-2-g. Please note that, as of today, (10/31/2019 at 2:12 pm), Priceline's web site still [incorrectly] describes the Hyatt Place Manhattan/Times Square, as being in the Empire State Building Area. In other words, their web site still misleads potential customers as to its location. I did call the Hyatt Place/Times Square phone number that is on my reservation, but it simply transfers to the Hyatt corporate reservation people. The Hyatt rep. at the Hyatt system-wide reservation desk tried to call the Hyatt Place Times Square hotel directly, but found that their on-site phone number is not yet operational, either within the Hyatt phone system or using the regular telephone number. So it's a little difficult to understand how exactly the corporate official who emailed me this morning that he had "tried to reach out to the hotel to ask for a cancellation exception on [my] behalf" did so, and was unsuccessful in getting a cancellation. And note: I have never suggested that mere cancellation and refund would be a satisfactory resolution of this dispute. The corporate reservation rep also told me that Hyatt hotel managers don't have authority to deal directly with Priceline, so that neither the HP Midtown South manager or the new HP Times Square manager would be able to reach out to Priceline and get Priceline to fix its error going forward. (Is that your understanding as well?) The corporate Hyatt reservationist did confirm that I have a reservation at the Hyatt Place Times Square for the four nights at issue.
  18. Unless otherwise noted, all PRICELINE EXPRESS deals are for double occupancy. You can often workaround this when a 'bed choice' is offered and one of the rooms available is designed to accommodate triple/quad occupancy. Technically your reservation is still for double occupancy, but i don't know of anyone how has yet had an issue showing up with 3/4 guests when a specific room type was purchased that is designed to accommodate the number of guests in their group. For each of the hotels above have you tried searching using our BiddingHelper.com tool and in the PRICELINE EXPRESS tab hover your mouse over the 'FIND MATCH in HOTEL LIST' button (or tab this button if on a mobile device)... the best guess for each of the hotels above should be revealed to you. However, if none of these PRICELINE EXPRESS hotels shows a 'Bed Choice' that will accommodate your family's occupancy needs, i would sooner recommend using HOTWIRE where you can search for up to quad occupancy per room, and HOTWIRE guarantees sleeping accommodations for everyone that you included in your search.... or are you willing to take the occupancy risk and hope that the hotel will assign you a room that will comfortably accommodate quad occupancy? What are your needs for this trip and what is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes)? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts regarding the occupancy issue and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.
  19. Congratulations on your success! At nearly half off of prevailing rates looks like a BIG win with some excellent savings. Hope you're happy with the results and looking forward to your trip. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay.
  20. I'm looking at Yelp reviews for Hertz in downtown Chicago and none of them have particularly great reviews; this one at the Hyatt on Wacker is mixed but better overall than most locations - https://www.yelp.com/biz/hertz-rent-a-car-chicago-20). It would depend on which way you're heading after Chicago - if you're going that way you could either try a downtown Hertz and be on your way or it's not difficult to get to Midway on the Orange line (and is a quicker trip than from downtown to O'Hare.) Later at night coming from O'Hare, I'd definitely take a cab/uber if possible - that's a fairly long ride plus the line switch once you get downtown. The Red Line station is a few blocks West of the Ambassador. Definitely let me know if you have any other city questions at all.

  24. Happy Anniversary! The reason for prices being so high for this nite is that the NYC Marathon is on 11/3, so runners (and friends/family who cheer them on) from all over the world are in town for the event. As there are parties/gathering/events for participants throughout the week leading up to Sunday, even those more local to the area stay a nite or two in the city in order to participate as well as to be 'fresh' for an early wake-up on Sunday. The least expensive offers i'm seeing for your dates (so you can decide if the proximity to the Beacon is worth the savings or additional cost): 4* Empire State Building Area (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $241/nite with: Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> Park South Hotel 4* Midtown West - Hell's Kitchen (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $241/nite with: Fitness Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> Yotel New York Times Square 4* HOTWIRE Lower East Side - East Village for $271 Free Internet Smoke Free Restaurant ==> citizenM New York Bowery 4* HOTWIRE Empire State Building - Bryant Park for $240 Free Internet Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business ==> St. Giles the Tuscany 4.5* Grand Central Terminal - UN (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $280/nite with: Fitness Center Business Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Millennium Hilton New York One UN Plaza Something above work for your needs, location, and budget? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
