  4. Then i guess we have no time to waste! I assume this is the offer you're referring to: 3.5* HOTWIRE Overland Park - Leawood for $95 Free parking Pet friendly Indoor pool(s) Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access ==> if so, Sheraton Overland Park Hotel at the Convention Center is the best guess for this one Does this work for your needs for tonite? In case there is another offer and you need an answer before we t have a chance to respond, note that you can use the new features of our BetterBidding.com tool to research the offer above (or any other offer): 1) search using BiddingHelper.com 2) click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW or PRICELINE EXPRESS tab 3) hover your mouse (or click) the FIND MATCH button next to the listing In the case of the hotel above it was not found in this first 'check', but if you then click the 'CLICK TO REVEAL HOTELS' button this hotel was identified as the Sheraton. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.

  6. From a 'major brand' that is located on-airport i think you're looking at about $215 all-in for an compact car (an economy is $2 less for the entire stay so i think worth the upgrade to compact... further up the chain is negligible as we: Mid-Size: $217, Standard: $219, Full: $220) For one of the lower tier rental companies you're looking at an Economy Car for $145 so you can at least consider the savings if the trade-off (requires shuttle to get to counter, lesser brand/service rental company, etc) are worthwhile or not. I always stick with the top tier brands, but figured if you told you the difference in cost you could make that decision for yourself if the savings are worthwhile or not. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.
  7. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you have a nice hotel to look forward to at the end of your trip. If you'd like help with any of the remaining nites feel free to start a NEW TOPIC (since this one now reflects your purchase of the Dolphin) or for car rental help please post in the CAR RENTAL section of the board and we will assist you there. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy this leg of your stay/trip (and good luck to your son in the basketball tournament!)
  8. Not familiar with either of these as i tend to stay on the strip and both of these are pretty far off (one even further than The Palms and the other south of the airport). For 12/15-12/16 how about: 4* The Strip - Northeast (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $269/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Casino Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> The LInq if this would work for your plans. I can't speak from a respiratory point of view, but i don't smell any smoke on their casino floor since their renovations about 5 or so year ago, although i don't know anything about their hotel rooms (although i may be staying there at some point next year with a conference that i'm attending nearby) And then for 12/16-12/17: 5* The Strip - Northeast (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $145/nite with: Free Parking Fitness Center Casino Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Wynn still available OR if you took the Linq for 12/15 you could stay there for 12/16 as well: 4* HOTWIRE Center Strip - High Roller Promenade for $69 Pet friendly Boutique hotel Casino Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Spa services ==> Linq OR this is also a very nice deal for 12/16: 5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Fountains for $129 Resort Pet friendly Casino Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Spa services ==> Bellagio Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Good luck, hope an outlier hotel drops their price at the last minute for you.
  9. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you were happy with the outcome and even found cheaper parking in the immediate area! (thanks for the tip) Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Sounds like you enjoyed your stay and had fun in the area.
  10. It's easier if you list the amenities from the PRICELINE EXPRESS tab of our BiddingHelper.com tool as that is what we will be using to research the property (this also ensures that we're looking at the same hotel). Assuming this is the same offer: 4* Long Bay (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $240/nite with (NOTE: the price drops to $196/nite when i click on the offer) Free Parking Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> not 100% certain, but fairly confident this would be the Royalton White Sands - All Inclusive Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  11. It would be appreciated if you concluded your previous Priceline Boston hotel thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. Best guess for this offer: 3* Culver City (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $138/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Four Points by Sheraton Los Angeles Westside You can now easily identify most hotels by using the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW and PRICELINE EXPRESS tabs of our BiddingHelper.com tool: 1) search using BiddingHelper.com 2) click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW or PRICELINE EXPRESS 3) hover your mouse (or click) the FIND MATCH from HOTEL LIST button ==> hotel should appear immediately If a hotel is not found there should be an extra button to click in order to do further research (this extra button just takes a little longer to search so we prefer to give the 'quick answer' first when available... then have users do a second search which may take a little longer). As always, you can feel free to ask for help if a hotel is still not yet identified or if you'd like a second (human) opinion before moving forward with your purchase. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  12. If it were either of the other two there would be other amenities listed. As well, although many of the features are new, the BiddingHelper.com is highly reliable. Is the Allure a property that works for your needs? If not, what is it that you are looking for and what is your maximum budget? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

  14. Please be sure to let us know how many adults/children you're including in your search as this makes it easier for us to find the same hotel by price as well as ensures that we are researching the same property. 4* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $370 Free internet Airport shuttle Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center Golf nearby Tennis nearby ==> this does match previous reports for the Beach Club, but you can't necessarily exclude the (not yet reported to the board) Yacht Club as a possibility I did look further into the double/quad occupancy above... HOTWIRE used to define 'children' as age 2-17... they have recently changed this on the 'Hot Rate Hotel' side to indicate ages 2-11. When searching for a regular rate hotel you can still input the number of children and their ages. On the Hot Rate Hotel (opaque) side of things you can now only select the number of children, not their ages. ==> i'm not sure if Hotwire (opaque) is treating any children as adults because that is the way it is coded for all hotels OR if any children would still be counted as children for hotels where they treat any guest 17 years or younger as a child More specifically to your dilemma... Your in a 'grey area'. I know in the past users were able to book Disney properties for double occupancy and then call the hotel to add the children name(s) to the reservation. The other issue (how big/small this is depends upon your outlook at the age of your children) is what if the room only has a King bed... although this may be less of an issue in Orlando since the hotels here are used to accommodating families and therefore have a higher percentage of rooms with 2 beds in them and/or enough space for a rollaway assuming there is no pullout sofabed (vs. if you were staying in NYC or Chicago where hotels have a high percentage of rooms with only one bed and little/no room for a rollaway). Given the price difference i would be more inclined to only include the 2adults in my search and then call the hotel to add the child(ren), as well as sign-up for FastPass and any other perks. If there is an issue adding the children then i would offer to pay to add them to the reservation (since you would have paid Hotwire anyway). Since you are also considering splitting this stay into two reservations, you could make a first reservation for just one nite (or the first few nites), see how it goes after you call the hotel to add the chidlren, and then use that as a baseline to decide if you book with the remaining nites as just 2adults or if you include the children on the original reservation. NOTE if you do go the split reservation route (and are hoping to get the same hotel for all nites) before any purchases you should first check for each set of dates you intend on booking to make sure the same hotel appears for both searches. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how you'd like to proceed, or how it goes should you move forward, and we'll take it from there.
  15. I've always been SO good about closing up any threads that I started, and so I was quite surprised to see that I had left one sort of dangling (my response must not have posted, because I do remember writing one...)
  16. We do see it from time-to-time, but odds favor it appearing when 'regular' prices are lower rather than higher (since higher prices indicate higher demand and they are less likely to offer deep discounts thru the opaque hotel channels when demand is high and they are likely able to sell most rooms on their own at regular price). With the above noted, things to come and go in cycles... there were long periods where we would never see Animal Kingdom received thru HOTWIRE, but it has been appearing more often recently. The same could be said for most Disney properties. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Keep us updated on your progress and let us know how we can be of further help along the way.
  17. Understood, but since it's possible that rates only move higher from here, we recommend booking a Refundable Reservation ... nothing to lose, and you'll be thankful you did if prices jump from here.
  18. Congratulations on your success! Glad to hear you received a nice deal at the hotel you were hoping for and that the new features of the BiddingHelper.com EASY VIEW tab continue to benefit our users! (please help spread the word about these new features 🙂 ) Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay.
  19. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for, and even better we're happy to hear you like the new RevealHotels tool! We have some additional ideas that we are in the process of adding to the site, so if you have any of your own suggestions feel free to send them to me in a PM. Please help spread the word about the new site! Thank you for using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase and sharing your win, helping us update the Miami Hotwire Hotel List with the new amenity set for this hotel. Have a great trip... and Happy Valentine's Day!
  20. Welcome to BetterBidding! For this offer: 4* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $337 Free internet Airport shuttle Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Golf nearby Children's activities ==> unfortunately i'm not certain, my guess is that it is Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Village, or the Boardwalk Inn... with the odds favoring Animal Kingdom, but as i mention, i'm far from certain Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  21. Congratulations on your success, hope this worked well for your needs and you enjoyed your stay. For the time being priceline is moving away from their original bidding model. We did have a workaround at BiddingForHotelRooms.com, but this too has stopped working. Next week (as time permits as busy with a few other projects right now) we are going to investigate if it can be fixed. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Thank you for sharing your results with the board.
  22. Congratulations on your success! Nice to see this was the hotel you were expecting, the reviews are good, and it will work well for your needs. Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay.
  23. Welcome to BetterBidding and congratulations on your success! Glad to see this worked out perfectly for your plans and you're excited with the win/savings. Instead try our BiddingHelper tool: 1) search using BiddingHelper.com 2) click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW or PRICELINE EXPRESS tab 3) hover your mouse over (or click) the 'FIND MATCH' button next to each listing --> for most offers the name of the hotel will be shown almost immediately Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Enjoy your stay and have fun at the event.
  24. Congratulations on your success. Although the price had gone up, glad to see you're pleased with the deal and outcome. Our BiddingHelper.com EASY VIEW can usually indicate which one it is. In the future you could see which ones are suggested by HOTWIRE and then compare to one chosen by BiddingHelper (and the Bidding Helper has tabs to both the 'regular' Hotwire page and the EASY VIEW, so can do all of the above all on the same page and with just one search). If you have any suggestions on how to streamline this process even further please let us know (you can send me a PM) and we will see what we can do about implementing. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Have a great trip!
  25. Good thoughts. NYOP was a great gig while it lasted. Priceline and Hotwire both need to have some decent savings to make it worth not doing a cancellable reservation somewhere else. Regarding your thought about using the phone as a baseline: I was working on a Hotwire purchase on and off, the last couple of days. I was waiting for an appointment and decided to bring Hotwire up on my phone, with data. And it was different. Most importantly, it told me the Mystery Deal was one of TWO not of THREE hotels, and it showed them to me. These bids were otherwise exactly the same except the method of opening Hotwire. I don't know if the Hotwire phone app would be yet somehow different again.
  26. Yes, thank you for closing this thread with your decision.
  27. We always use the amenities from our BiddingHelper.com tool as they are designed to work with our systems. Even though the hotel was as we predicted, glad to hear the refund went smoothly... if you need help with a replacement property feel free to start a NEW TOPIC. 2x
  28. Congratulations on your success... your first win! Great to see you received the hotel you wanted and are looking forward to your trip. Have a great trip... and good luck in Vegas!
