  2. Hi, I've identified an offer - one of 3 hotels. I need to book for 2 adults and our 16 year old son. The offer is with Pricelines own website and it allows me to enter 2 adults and 1 child aged 16 years. Then the hotels available pop up in response to my search. When I see standard room, will it give me 3 beds in the room or sleeping arrangements for 3 people, bearing in mind that I was allowed to enter 2 adults and 1 child in my search? Thanks for your help.
  3. PRICELINE EXPRESS had this Sheraton for $74 ($90.97 all-in) and Hotwire was $80 ($98.16). I figured I name your own price on Priceline lower than the PRICELINE EXPRESS price to see what would happen. Sine there are 12 rebids for 3.5 stars, I figured I would start at $60 and go up $1 each time. It was accepted on the first bid - I hate it when that happens. Even though I saved $16.37, I should have started lower! 🙂 Offer price:$60.00/night Number of rooms:1 room Number of nights:1 night Room subtotal:$60.00 Taxes & fees:$14.60 Total charged today:$74.60

  5. For this hotel offer: 3* Overland Park (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $67/nite with: Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Indoor Swimming Pool Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Internet in room Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas ==> Courtyard by Marriott Kansas City Overland Park/Convention Center would be my best guess NOTE: if interested in this property use the link above so as to not confused with a different 3 star hotel offered for $68/nite but i'm unable to get the full details/description of that one... not sure if it's me or if an issue on PRICELINE's end since i experienced the same issue last week too Not sure how hold the children you're traveling with are, but if you could 'get away with' booking for 2adults/0children i'm also seeing what looks to be the aLoft Leawood for $87/nite, should that be of any interest (although i will also add that at this aLoft a room with a King bed is designated as maximum 2 guests). There are also plenty of hotels near the airport around this price point, but not sure if that will work for your needs or not. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  6. Glad to see you found something that works for your needs. I believe i saw the Cobblestone hotel Harbor Creek as an opaque offer when researching yesterday... was this a PRICELINE / HOTWIRE purchase or was this a traditional booking? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

  9. For this offer: 5* The Strip - Northeast (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $109/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Airport Shuttle Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center ==> Venetian is my best guess PRICELINE has gotten much better at showing if there is a resort fee or not, but in the handful of situations where there is no resort fee shown but the hotel does in fact collect one, you will still need to pay it. I will add that if you're looking for a 5 star hotel on the strip (or just about any star rated hotel on the strip) you should expect to have to pay a resort fee as all of the hotels are charging one these days. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. PS- please also follow-up your previous Priceline Las Vegas hotel thread with whatever you ended up doing for that leg of the trip. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. Thanks!

  13. Sorry to hear you're not enjoying your stay at this property. I don't know much about this hotel in particular, but there is not much to see/do in this area and the hotel selection reflect it... most hotels in this neighborhood have seen better days! With the poor reviews (even from HOTWIRE customers) you may want to reach out to them regarding this one, let them know that it's overrated, and that you didn't get what was promised in terms of star rating/quality. You may get some HotDollars to use towards a future purchase, but in addition you will also increase the chances that this hotel gets downgraded to a lower star rated property. Thank you for sharing your win with the board and helping us add this property to the New York City Hotwire Hotel List. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Hopefully you have an early departure and will be on your way quickly in the morning (after the free breakfast, of course)
  14. You're welcome! Hope you find RevealHotels.com as useful as all of our other tools and features.
  15. Sounds good, but as i mentioned, i can't vouch for it anymore since they have moved... maybe you'll give me the updated review. No matter if the pizza is better, worse, or unchanged... i'm sure you'll have a great trip!
  16. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received a great deal for this stay... a substantial upgrade to the hotels you were originally considering for not really much more in price. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay.
  17. Earlier
  18. Correct, which is why i tried to clarify before proceeding. So you have the Villa Florence Hotel Hotel option above thru HOTWIRE, or you have this option from PRICELINE EXPRESS: 4* Union Square West (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $249/nite with: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas ==> Hotel Adagio is our guess for this one. NOTE that all priceline reservations are for double occupancy, this this offer provides a 'Bed Choice' of 2 Queen Beds. Although technically your room is still booked for double occupancy, i don't know of anyone who has yet had an issue showing up with a 3rd/4th guests when a specific room type was booked and that room is designed to accommodate the number of guests in the group. Also, as priceline doesn't indicate that this property has a resort fee (whereas the HOTWIRE above does) the price difference between the two is not as much as it may appear at first glance. Thoughts on either of these? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  19. Welcome (officially) to BetterBidding! Glad to see you scored a nice deal at the hotel you were hoping for and that you find the board information helpful. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Have a great stay!
  20. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you got two nice deals for each leg of this trip and that you're all set and looking forward to your family vacation. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Have a great trip!
  21. Congratulations on your success... a very nice rate for NYC at any time of year! An excellent example of how rates can differ greatly, even from one day to the next, as this Sunday of a holiday weekend is inexpensive even though it is during peak season... try a midweek nite just a week later and i'm sure you'll see rates spike substantially higher. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay.
  22. I am able to get the details of this one now: 3.5* Downtown Detroit (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $106/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas ==> Detroit Marriott At The Renaissance Center or the Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Downtown would be my best guesses for this one. Given this property does not offer a pool, which the Courtyard has but the Renaissance does not, i would favor this one more likely being the Renaissance, but you should at least be prepared for either (although the Courtyard seems less likely than the Renaissance, imo) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  23. True for the most part, although in NYC you want to try to go a little higher in star rating if you can (unless you're able to determine the likely hotel and you 'know' that it's a good one)... especially if you intend to BID for a hotel room since you then have no control/guess over the hotel within the zone that you may receive. Most NYC hotel rooms are small, but at the lower rating they tend to get even tinier, and at the non-chain hotels housekeeping and general upkeep can often be less than stellar. (i've stayed It depends how you define the 'best option'... it may be the most economical; but it's not going to be the most convenient. Here are some decent options and you can try to determine which you think would be 'best' based upon your needs/budget (of course you can feel free to ask questions about any of them and we will do our best to comment/advise accordingly): 3* HOTWIRE Red Hook - Brooklyn South for $112 Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Smoke Free Fitness Business ==> Days Inn by Wyndham Brooklyn Boro Park ... not my first choice as i don't think it will give you an 'city feel', but i included as it's the least expensive option (and you can also get a feel for what would be available at a lower price vs. if i didn't include this hotel). I don't know much about this area, but it's close to a subway station, although the commute to Times Square/Midtown would be about 55 minutes (that's a bit far to be considered convenient, imo... imagine staying by O'Hare and using the blue line to commute to Downtown). 4* HOTWIRE Long Island City for $168 Free Internet Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Business ==> The Paper Factory ... a short walk to a subway line that will have you into Midtown in about 20 minutes. Hotels gets good decent reviews.... but note that there is also a $23/nite resort fee at this hotel 4.5* HOTWIRE Long Island City for $184 Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Business ==> Boro Hotel ... also close to a subway and about 20 minutes to midtown. This one has the best reviews out of any of the above, here there is a $19/nite resort fee so about a $12 difference between this one and the one above; you'll have to decide if that is money well spent or not in exchange for the higher star rating and better reviews. From PRICELINE EXPRESS... 3.5* Long Island City (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $170/nite with: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Free Internet in room Fitness Center ==> Wyndham Garden Long Island City .... no reported resort fee here so a little more affordable than the last two above, similar in terms of convenience Unfortunately anything in Manhattan that gets a better than 65% recommendation from previous guests is looking to be in the mid-$200's. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Let us know your thoughts/questions and we'll take it from there.

Enjoy this leg of your family vacation.

  28. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
