  2. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and this works well for your plans on this expensive nite for hotels almost everywhere. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay, and Happy Valentine's Day.
  3. Thank you so much for the help. It was the Holiday Inn, and that will work for me! I used the link above!
  4. For this one: 3* Ft Lauderdale Airport (FLL) South (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $219/nite with: Free Parking Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> agree with the Holiday Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  5. Still working on this something for this trip....I now see a Priceline Express 3* in the FLL Airport South rated 8 out of 10 for $219. The amenities include Free Parking Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool The hotel match function believes this is the Holiday Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport. Would you agree?
  6. This is in reference to the last person who booked a hotel of this same star rating in the zone... it has nothing to do with the hotel that is currently being offered. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please follow-up your threads whatever you decide to do for this trip (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. Lastly, if you decide to forgo PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, note that our current Priceline Coupon also works on pre-paid 'regular rate' hotels as well.
  7. Thanks! I didn't realize I had my old email address on my account. That explains why I had a hard time logging in! I'll be sure to post if I book through either Priceline or Hotwire. I figured it was going to be a Marriott. I don't know how they get away with saying that someone recently got Hard Rock Cancun when they purchased that express deal. Isn't that bait and switch if you have zero chance of getting that resort?
  8. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and this property will suit your needs for this trip. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay... and maybe a cheesesteak (or two!)
  9. What Disney hotel(s) are you looking for and what is your maximum budget (per nite for this trip? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  10. Welcome (officially) to BetterBidding! You can easily ID hotels now with our new feature of our BiddingHelper tool: 1) do your search at BiddingHelper.com 2) click the PRICELINE EXPRESS tab (or Hotwire Easy View) 3) hover your mouse (or click) the 'SEE MATCH from HOTEL LIST' button Using this method the following hotel(s): 4.5* Cancun Hotel Zone South (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $105/nite with: Free Parking Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Marriott Cancun Resort 4.5* Cancun Hotel Zone South (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $151/nite with: Free Parking Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> JW Marriott Cancun Resort and Spa 4.5* Cancun Hotel Zone South (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $383/nite with: Free Parking Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool All Inclusive ==> Hard Rock Cancun All-Inclusive Based upon the information above i'm guessing that the $84/nite hotel you originally saw yesterday is a different property than the $149/nite hotel you're now seeing. As well, with the Hard Rock selling thru regular rates for $538/nite for your dates, the chances that you're seeing it for $85 or even $150 is extremely unlikely. If you do move forward with PRICELINE (or HOTWIRE) it would be appreciated if you made your purchase using the links on the board (which works for both desktop and mobile) and not thru the app, as this helps us continue to keep the board going as a free resource for everyone. Also, assuming you have used PRICELINE / HOTWIRE in the 10+ years since joining the board, please begin to share your wins so that others can benefit from the information, just as you are hoping to gain insight by those who have posted before you. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help. PS- please also update your email address with the board as the one you are using is no longer valid and is bouncing back to us based upon your subscription to this thread. Thanks.
  11. Thank you. We decided to wait and see if anything else pops up.
  12. I need help identifying this hotel. It was $84 last night and I didn't buy so of course it went up to $149 this morning! On the app it says "BOOK SOON - Someone just got Hard Rock Hotel Cancun - All Inclusive!" If it's indeed the Hard Rock, we want it, but don't want to stay at the Marriott. Hotel Amenities Free Internet Available Free Parking Indoor Swimming Pool Airport Shuttle No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Fitness Center Handicapped Rooms/Facilities Spa Restaurant Outdoor Swimming Pool Free Internet Access Swimming Pool
  13. Congratulations on your success! Hope you're happy with the results and this property will work well, and be convenient, for your plans in the area. We took are of this for you, but in the future there should be a GREEN button on the top right and/or bottom left of the page 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN'... this will give you a form to use to report the hotel win as well as add any details of your purchases in a reply. Once this button is used it disappears which is why you don't see it any more (as we just used it to edit the topic title to reflect your purchase). Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay.
  14. An awesome deal! Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board.
  15. I did use the PRICELINE links to search for my rates. Also just checked my credit card statement and United only charged me $178 for my ticket to get to DCA from CPR. That is a lot less than the $608 I just found on their website 2 minutes ago and is cheaper than the $367 I found from Denver. I would say that I got a good deal.
  16. I took your advice today. I did one bid for $54, then added another zone and did a bid for $57. Then I used priceline express and Priceline Coupon BBJAN20 as you suggested. Priceline express cost $65, minus the 5% off coupon, for the Best Western Kirkwood Inn. I am VERY PLEASED AND EXCITED. Could you direct me to the right link to post all of this? Thanks so much for all the step by step help!
  17. Welcome to BetterBidding! I'm local to the area so feel free to ask any other questions you may have, but some thoughts/suggestions: You don't really need (or perhaps want to) stay as close as possible to Times Square as you will likely spend far less time there than you think... what you really want, imo, is a midtown hotel that is close to a subway station (and ideally with multiple subway lines at that station). This way you can easily get to Times Square as well as most other places in the city that you intend to visit. With the above noted, in addition to the Parker New York which you have found, i'm seeing the following: 4* HOTWIRE Madison Square Garden for $158 Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel ==> Stewart Hotel... used to be the Affinia Manhattan up until a few years ago at which point it was renovated and became the Stewart. Not the fanciest hotel in NYC, but recent reviews are solid, it's a bit easier on your budget, and the location is excellent (right across the street from Penn Station so multiple subway lines to get you just about anywhere you need to go) and is also walk-able to Times Square. 4.5* Midtown East (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $189/nite with: Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> San Carlos Hotel... a bit less convenient than the one above but reviews are excellent. The location is certainly do-able, but do keep in mind you're giving up a little in terms of location for the quality of hotel. 4.5* Madison Square Garden - Convention Area (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $200/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> Crowne Plaza HY36... another hotel with excellent reviews, around the same price as the Parker and San Carlos, so another one to consider. Fairly new hotel (about 2-3 years old) that has a great location (2 blocks from Penn Station and less than a 10 minute walk to Times Square) and as i mentioned, gets terrific reviews. 5* HOTWIRE Times Square for $179 Free internet Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired ==> InterContinental Times Square... good location if trying to be close to Times Square and want to say you were at a '5 star' hotel, but i think some of the other hotels above (Crowne Plaza HY36) offer a better value 4* HOTWIRE Midtown East for $138 Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom ==> Doubletree Metropolitan... a little to far east to be considered ideal, but still do-able. The hotel is clean but otherwise a bit tired and 'meh', but the price is pretty good if budget is your primary concern. Any of the above of interest? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts (or how it goes if you take one of the above) and we'll take it from there.
  18. GREAT to see your persistence pay off... sometimes it's easy to give up but i'm glad to see you stuck with it and were successful! Thank you for sharing your win and experience with the board. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. 19. Hello, We are looking for 2 rooms in Manhattan, NY (as close to Times Square as possible, so looking at Times Square, Central Park South areas). Dates: April 22 to 25 (can't change dates) Star Rating: 4* or 4.5* City Zone: Manhattan - Times Square, Central Park South Room Rate: hopefully around $200/night per room including resort fee. Max. we can shell out is $250 including resort fee and taxes unless there is a significantly better option for $10-$20 more. Amenities: Looking for free internet Express deal on priceline gives Parker hotel for $202/night per room excluding resort fee and taxes. I was wondering if any better options are available. Thank you.
  20. Hey all I have looking been for several weeks at airfares, hotels, and hotel + air packages for a trip to Washington, D.C. this coming May and nothing really stood out, as an exceptional deal. Have been looking everywhere including, but limited to United.com, Expedia, and Priceline. Well today I decided to search the usual sites and found that the airfare had gone up by $100 or $150 depending on the flight and almost felt a little defeated. That being said I have learned to never give up and did a search at Priceline where I found a nice deal for a hotel + air package that is less then the price of the hotel by itself. Below are the details of the package I booked. Moxy by Marriott Washington, DC Downtown with airfare on United from CPR to DCA via DEN on 05/06/2020-05/11/2020 for $1365.85. While looking at Priceline I made sure that I was not selecting a Basic Economy Fare, as unlike some sites they do not offer the option upgrade to regular economy. After checking a few other travel sites I noticed that package price at over $2000. I then did a search for rates on this hotel and found many for over $1400 for my entire stay, which is more than the package I purchased. I feel that I got a great deal on what appears to be a unique hotel and I am very happy with purchase. On a side note Priceline does not offer an option for selecting a seat and I also did not notice any place to including my frequent flyer number. Despite this I was able to pull up this reservation at United.com and select my seats, as well as add my frequent flyer number (this makes it easier to pull this reservation later). Also used part of the package savings to pay for Economy Plus seat for the flights from DEN-DCA and DCA-DEN.
  21. Congratulations on your success... looks like a nice, inexpensive, deal for the nite. Nice to see you were able to figure this one out before purchase and it was the hotel you were expecting (for the future our the BiddingHelper.com's new feature in the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab can do the work for you ) Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay.
  22. The forum's HOTWIRE link got me the Novotel (I could narrow it down, since they offered the "it's 1 out of these 3" plus the Tripadvisor ratings). Decent deal, indeed cheaper than the best online price. Complimentary: Free internet Amenities: Business center | Fitness center | Pet friendly | Restaurant(s) | Smoke-free rooms Accessibility: Accessible for hearing impaired | Accessible path of travel Total price including taxes was $78.65 (minus the JUSTFORYOU Hotwire Coupon)
  23. GREAT... congratulations on your success! Nice to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you're happy with the results. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay and have fun at the parks!

You can easily ID these hotels with the newest feature from our BiddingHelper tool... 1) search at BiddingHelper.com 2) click the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab 3) hover your mouse (or click if on mobile device) the 'FIND MATCH from HOTEL LIST' Using this method for each of the above: 4* HOTWIRE Midtown East for $162 Free internet Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center ==> Even Hotels New York Midtown East 4* HOTWIRE Midtown East for $173.03 Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Business center Internet access ==> Doubletree Metropolitan New York... although earlier on a previous search i did see the Affinia 50 offered for around this same price, so if the Doubletree or Affinia 50 are of interest, be sure to let us know before moving forward so we can see if we can get the Affinia 50 to re-appear and highlight the difference between the two hotels to ensure you get the one you're hoping for Is the Shelburne the only hotel you're willing to stay at for this trip or are you open to other options?
