  2. Even through traditional booking channels, it looks like on-site availability is low and prices are high... not a good combination for 'choosing' the hotel you want at a deeply discounted price. What looks to be the Dolphin is offered for just $133/nite: 4* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $133 Resort Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Given how high rates are elsewhere maybe you can make this work for your needs at this price, but other than this, do you see any options (even through more traditional booking channels) that meet your needs and budget? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  3. With HOTWIRE there is no bidding... you pay the (discounted) price that the hotel is being offered at; it's just like PRICELINE EXPRESS (if you have used that side of Priceline's service) The 'problem' is that you can't necessarily use the HOTWIRE rate to choose your bidding amount since: 1) the HOTWIRE hotel may not have the same star rating on PRICELINE 2) the HOTWIRE hotel may not be in the same zone on PRICELINE 3) the HOTWIRE hotel may not be available through PRICELINE ... few other 'in-depth' reasons too but the three above should be enough to explain some of the challenges. So you can use the HOTWIRE price to determine a maximum bid (since any higher you might be better off just taking the HOTWIRE offer) but you can't necessarily rely on being able to undercut it by bidding. As well, you probably wouldn't want to bid on Hotwire in this situation (even if they did offer this service) since you apparently like the Mercure better than the Russel Court, and since these are both 4 star hotels that are in the same zone, there would be no way to target the Mercure while avoiding the Russel Court. However, also to add, i'm no longer seeing the Mercure offered when searching for your complete stay... although i am now seeing The Parkcity London (in the Kensington - Shepherds Bush - Westfield London zone) for $122/nite which gets good reviews should this also work for your needs. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts and we'll take it from there.
  4. no. I did not. I would stay at another Disney hotel but at a lower price of 150 or less. We stayed at Bonnet Creek in Sept for 50 plus resort fees. I was hoping for a Disney property excluding the dolphin and swan.
  5. Congratulations on your success! Nice to see you were able to get something very affordable for this nite and that this satisfies your needs while in the area. Thank you for using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase and sharing your win, helping add add this hotel and amenity set to the Indianapolis Priceline Express Hotel List. Enjoy your stay.
  6. No deal. Do I try again later increasing my budget? I've never used Hotwire, but given there is 4* for $119, does that indicate i won't get it for much less? As always, thanks for your help and have a good day.
  7. Not the best bargain, but great for a one night stay. After taxes and fees the total is $76.67. Amenities are Free breakfast, free parking, pool, gym, free internet, no smoking, handicapped accessible, pets allowed and shuttle. Used the board PRICELINE link as always.
  8. Last week
  9. I'm not sore sure $100 is going to do it (since the lower price is seen on HOTWIRE and you're currently bidding on priceline), but to give it a try: When bidding 4 stars in the London area you have currently have SIX re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding, see Priceline Re-Bidding Explained... Select 4* The City, Westminster, Kensington, Mayfair Bid $85, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $88, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $93, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $98, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $100 I would first try your complete set of dates, then if rejected try: 12/10-12/15 12/11-12/16 12/10-12/14 12/12-12/16 12/10-12/13 12/13-12/16 Any questions feel free to ask. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
  10. I can split up the entire stay (Tues 12/10- Mon 12/16) in any combination. Mercure looks good, so i guess that can be my fallback if bidding isn't successful. I would like to lower my bid to be $100 Thanks again.
  11. To confirm, your trip is really for 6 nites (12/10-12/16) but you're willing to split into two separate purchases? If the above is accurate is 12/10-12/14 and 12/14-12/16 the only way that you're willing to split, or would any combination of dates work? (ie- would 12/10-12/13 and 12/13-12/16 also be acceptable..... or 12/12-12/16) Also, for your complete stay, HOTWIRE has what appears to be: Russel Court Hotel (mixed reviews) for $95/nite Mercure London Kensington Hotel for $119/nite ==> would either of these be acceptable and cause you to lower your maximum bid price? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please confirm the information above and we'll take it from there. PS- if you haven't bid on priceline in awhile note that they have been moving/hiding the bidding page, if you're having trouble locating it, we have set up the following site for quick and easy access to the bidding side of priceline: BiddingForHotelRooms.com
  12. Looking for help on NYOP Priceline. Zones The City, Westminster, Kensington, Mayfair. Budget is $125. Happy to break up my week stay (12/10-12/16). THanks.
  13. You don't mention what it is that you're looking for in a hotel for this trip so i can't really comment how this fits your plans for this trip.. What are your plans while in the area this stay... do you prefer to be near one specific park? A resort-like setting important? A nice pool? Budget? What made you choose this offer when there are others that are higher rated and less expensive (especially when including Bonnet Creek as an option and when considering HOTWIRE too)? Are your travel plans for this date firm? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  14. Do you have any thoughts on this hotel?

Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  16. Thank you for closing this thread with your decision. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  17. We did not end up booking a hotel.
  18. I don't see availability at either the Animal Kingdom or Art of Animation for your dates. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  19. we have children coming...our 2 top choices for them would be Animal Kingdom or Art of Animation I realize these are totally 2 different types of hotels.
  20. Welcome to BetterBidding! Any of the following work for your needs (all are before fees/taxes): Swan for $196/nite Dolphin for $170/nite Coronado Springs for $207/nite Caribbean Beach Resort for $223/nite (confirm your dates on the landing page of any links above) Your thoughts? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. 21. OK, here we go... PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, so using their service for more than double occupancy can be a bit risky (especially in NYC where rooms are notoriously small and hotels often have a high percentage of rooms with only one bed and little/no space for a roll-away bed to be brought into the room... and rooms with 2 beds often are considered an upgrade and cost more). The one exception to this would be if you can find a PRICELINE EXPRESS Del hotel that offers a 'Bed Choice' and one of those choices is a room that is designed to accommodate 4 guests. --> Unfortunately i don't currently see any PRICELINE EXPRESS hotels rated 3.5* or higher rated hotels in NYC at under $200/nite that show a Bed Choice option. HOWEVER, HOTWIRE allows you to search for up to quad occupancy and guarantees that there will be sleeping accommodations for everyone that you include in your search. However, i'm not seeing any 3.5* rated hotels for your dates for under $200/nite when searching for quad occupancy. So your options come down to: -lowering your star rating -increasing your budget -staying outside of Manhattan (at a nearby location where you can commute into the city via bus/train) Alternately, if your plans are not yet firm (ie- you have not yet purchased airline tix) and you're able to delay your trip by 1 week you should see some better pricing as Dec 15 is right on the cusp of when we tend to go from some of the highest rates of the year drop to slightly more reasonable levels.... if you could delay even further (Dec 20-24) or into January/February it is one of the slowest times of the year for NYC and you will see rates at about half of what you're seeing for your original dates above. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts, and how flexible (if at all) you are with the dates and we'll take it from there.
  22. How to get on Disney property. 3.5 to 5 Bonnie Creek On property Disney Hotel Dec6 to Dec 7 up to 250.00
  23. Please start by following-up your previous Orlando Hotwire hotel and Hotwire Disney threads with whatever you ended up doing for each of those trips. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. For the offer above, have you tried using our newly updated BiddingHelper.com tool: 1) enter your travel dates and searchat BiddingHelper.com 2) click the PRICELINE EXPRESS tab 3) hover your mouse over (or click) the blue 'FIND MATCH in HOTEL LIST' button --> do you see the name of the hotel? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  24. Thank you very much for the info. I don't have any idea about the shopping on that weekend. Im going fron Bogotá Colombia, and our budget is around 200/night.
  25. 3.5 star orlando, Disney springs January 2-5 114 per night Pets allowed, pool, restaurant, fitness, airport shuttle
  26. Welcome to BetterBidding! Historically this is a very expensive weekend in NYC as it often brings lots of international travelers doing their last minute holiday shopping. As well, needing a room for quad occupancy is going to likely limit your options and increase the price. So we can get started seeing what is available, what is your expected budget for this trip? (per nite before fees/taxes) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know regarding your budget and we'll take it from there.
