  2. I still have not purchased the other part of the trip. Really want to stay at 1.Encore 2.Wynne or 3.Palazzo but if I find a great deal on another 5* close to where I'm staying then I might go there. The prices seem to keep going up though.

  7. Thanks so much! Went with your suggestion and got the New York Hilton Midtown for $194. Total including taxes $282 Much less than website! Very happy! Thanks again!
  8. I'm not seeing too much that i'm getting excited about in the immediate Lincoln Center / Hells Kitchen area, but i'll show you some of the options there as well as what out guess for some others that do seem interesting... 4* Empire State Building Area (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $169/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==>Shelburne Suites... a good value at this price, generally gets good reviews, and enough savings to take subway, taxi, uber, etc. to wherever you need to go 4* HOTWIRE Rockefeller Center for $194 Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet ==> New York Hilton Midtown... business hotel with impersonal service, but good location and a good price at this level 4* Times Square - Theatre District (<-- CLICK HERE confirm your dates on the landing page) for $223/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> Aliz Hotel... i don't know much about this property, but centrally located and within your budget 4* Central Park South (<-- CLICK HERE confirm your dates on the landing page) for $224/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> The Shoreham Hotel... a 'moderate' walk to Lincoln Center but rooms are somewhat small 4.5* Madison Square Garden - Convention Area (<-- CLICK HERE confirm your dates on the landing page) for $252/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet ==> Crowne Plaza HY36... a little stretch of the budget but a fairly new hotel, gets great reviews, and an easy subway ride from Penn Station to Lincoln Center Any of the above of interest? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know which you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  9. Hello, Looking for hotel near Lincoln Center. Budget would be ideally less than $250 Was thinking Hells Kitchen area, Central Park South? The Hilton Garden Inn seems to be the 3.5 star express deal but would like to bid to see if I can get it under the $297 Any suggestions?
  10. Thanks, we have updated the Chicago Priceline Hotel List accordingly to reflect this new star rating... thanks for reporting your win and helping to make the change.
  11. This hotel charges the same for rooms with 2 Bed vs. 1 King, so it is likely that if you ask at check-in and this room type is available they will likely be willing to switch. However, based upon current rates occupancy seems to be high for this nite and having a look at the Sheraton website i don't see any 'standard' king rooms available (only King rooms are in a Suite)... so it certainly pays to ask, but keep in mind that the hotel may simply not have any king rooms available. On a positive site the 2 bed rooms i'm seeing for your dates are over $450/nite for this nite... so an excellent deal! Have a great trip!
  12. I’ll do that. Not that I’m that bothered but it seems to be a 2 double room and would prefer a king. Not too important though as I land at 7 and will most likely go to bed by the time I arrive and leave early in the morning so won’t care too much!
  13. Congrats on your success. Good deal for this Sheraton property! I'd ask at check-in if there's any way you could get a room facing South to get a river view. Thank you using the site's PRICELINE or HOTWIRE links to start your purchase and sharing your win, helping us update the Hotwire Hotel List for Chicago Enjoy your stay.
  14. Should be good - thank you FYI - on my itinerary this is down as a 5*
  15. Congrats on your success. Terrific win for this newer Gold Coast property! Great location and nice Lou Malnati's a couple of doors away. Please let me know if you have any city questions. Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches. Enjoy your stay.
  16. Was surprised to get this one! This was a Name Your Price deal. And this is in £ just to be clear I was trying for the day before but I noticed the prices for the day before were particularly expensive and as I was travelling light and alone (i.e no kids and in particular no wife!!) I didn't mind splitting up my hotel stays. When I was trying for both nights I think I got to £150 and Priceline came back with a offer of increasing my bid to £316 ($410) which I politely declined. So I thought I'd try just for the night on the 23/10 and I was happy to accept a 4.5* which I had selected. I got up to £150 ($195) and it got accepted but also took me to a 5* which was the Viceroy which looks v nice. I realise there is always the chance of getting a higher * than you chose but as I was going up in small increments I didn't expect a 5* anyhow thought it may be of use to someone
  17. Thanks to this board (I clicked through the links) I was able to work out from the amenities what this hotel was likely to be - for some odd reason the 22 and 23 were really expensive, particularly the 22 (I have a Priceline Name Your Price for the 23 to report next) - everywhere was SO expensive but this deal on Hotwire seemed pretty good and I was able to find a post with your best guess with the amenities (It isn't in the main list of hotels). Thank you Amenities Business center Fitness center Golf nearby Indoor pool(s) Internet access Pet friendly Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms
  18. Hi MichaelEg, Yes, it's entirely possible that HOTWIRE (or even PRICELINE EXPRESS) shows a 'Room Choice' on the search results page but then no room option(s) are given during the checkout page. I'm not sure of the logistics 'behind the scenes', but we have seen this frequently. If there is a specific offer that you're looking at, or would like help with your trip (i'm very familiar with NYC), feel free to start a NEW TOPIC and we would be happy to assist you there. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  19. At the start site it shows "bed choice available". But during the booking process it is not possible. Is that right?
  20. Congratulations on your success... and glad to hear you like the new Reveal Hotels! Not sure why HOTWIRE had an issue with processing your transaction but glad to see that it finally went thru and you're now set for this initial nite of your trip. Did you also purchase the other nites of your stay (at the Encore?) or did you not yet move forward for that part of the stay? If still looking, did you want to also consider the Center Strip area since that is where you will be the first nite, or did you only want to stay in the North Strip area for the balance? Thank you for sharing your win with the board and using the board links for your purchase(s). Enjoy this leg of your stay.
  21. Ok I tried for another 45 minutes and got the Cosmopolitan Nov. 10th one night $62 . Great deal. Thanks for informing of this. I had never used Hotwire before and didn't know about your reveal hotels link. Thank you very much. I will go thru my email to try to find info on the Denver and Cleveland hotels and update this site accordingly.
  22. Looks like now Cosmo gone, but I wish it had informed me of such before I wasted 2 1/2hours on the site. I refreshed and it showed deal still there. Kept putting credit card and it kept throwing me out Oh well. If you come across another such deal pls advise. Thank you.
  23. I found the link to the Hotwire Cosmo hotel. I've been trying to book for two hours and it won't go thru. I tried on my computer and cell phone. It keeps giving me an error message. I've tried to sign in on Hotwire on computer and won't let me but will allow on my phone. I have gone thru your site. The payment /card is good,so I don't know what is the problem. I refreshed and the deal is still valid. I'm going to try again. Thanks.
  24. Thank you. I thought that since hotels in same general area changing would be less of a hassle. But I hear Cosmopolitan is nice and would like to stay there for that one night. I have never used Hotwire and not sure where to find the Cosmo hotel on the site for the price you listed. Yes, I am getting in late because next day flight was too early and was able to change at less costs. Was going to stay at Tuscany for $27 (1st night) plus of course resort fee but decided to try to stay at a 5* for entire trip. As far as those other two hotels, I'll check my email as that was a long time ago. Sorry I didn't update.
  25. Please follow-up your previous Denver Airport Priceline hotel and Hotwire Cleveland Airport hotel threads with whatever you ended up doing for each of those trips. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. For the hotels above: 5* The Strip - Northeast (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $136/nite with: Free Parking Fitness Center Casino Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Encore At Wynn Las Vegas For the Solo Sunday nite: 5* The Strip - Northeast (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $92/nite with: Free Parking Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Business Center Casino Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino Splitting the stay as you have would look to be the least expensive combination, but you have to decide if the price difference is worth needing to change rooms (or if you really need a 5 star hotel for the first nite depending upon how early/late you arrive, how much you'll be in the room, how much you want to be in this part of the strip (and close to the hotel for the remaining nites of your stay)). For example, if your sole objective is price, you could even do this for the Sunday arrival: 5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Fountains for $61 Free Parking Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business ==> from our new tool/sister site, RevealHotels.com, best guess for this one would be the Cosmopolitan Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  26. I don't think any of the above are necessarily going to guarantee you a city view. Finding a hotel that you want and that shows a specific room type (ie- 'city view' ) that you're hoping for is going to be a difficult feat... most hotels are not going to be that descriptive nor are they necessarily going to disclose/label their most sought after rooms at a deep discount. You may get lucky, and it does happen, but you're really holding out for the needle in the haystack. Sometimes you can upgrade to the type of room you want just by asking, or sometimes with an additional upgrade fee... but this is HIGHLY 'your mileage may vary'; so much depends upon what is available at the time you check-in, mood of the front desk clerk, hotel policy, occupancy levels, etc. etc. At check-in you could ask if a room with a view is available, and if the answer is 'no', you could then ask 'what about for an additional fee could i upgrade to a room with a view?' Such a room may not be available, or the front desk clerk may not want to go thru the keystrokes to re-assign your room, or you may be given a price for the upgrade (which you can then still try negotiating lower). Bottomline is that the opaque providers offer a deep discount in exchange for being flexible, so unless you're able to find a room that specifically offers a city view, and you would be disappointed if you end up in a standard room, you may have to 'pay up' for the room type you want at regular retail rates (at which point i will also add that our current Priceline Coupon is valid for PRICELINE EXPRESS as well as and 'retail' rates where you pay in advance. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us how you'd like to proceed or how we can be of further help.
  27. Can you please help me identify this 5* hotel northeast strip. Express deals show the following for 3 nights Nov. 11-14, 2019, $136: 5* , parking, fitness, casino, restaurant, no smoking, pool. A few days ago it was $116 a night. I didn't act fast enough. Snooze you loose. Thank you, and also 5* $92 Nov 10-11,2019, northeast strip, fitness, shuttle, busi ctr., casino, restaurant, no smoking, pool. I'm thinking about coming in a day early. I think it would be cheaper to make the 3 night and then get the one night at $92. What do you think. Thanks for your help.
