  3. Thank you for the revealhotels link, yes wasn't sure why, the offer did seem to interchange between: 4/26-30 $119 Wynn Resort Two Doubles $119 Wynn Resort King (Free Parking Business center Casino Internet access Pool(s) Resort Restaurant(s) Spa services Accessible for hearing impaired) 4/26-30 $139 Encore Resort Two Queens $119 Encore Resort King (Free Parking Business center Casino Internet access Pool(s) Resort Restaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms Suite) I used the BB link to purchase two rooms on separate bookings, however, the BETTERBIDDING8 promocode didn't work on my first booking, but worked on the second. I emailed customersupport@hotwire.com do you think Hotwire would be able to refund the 8% difference for my first booking? I got the Wynn. I have stayed at the Wynn before so would have liked to try the Encore, however, as we needed a room with 2 beds and the Encore was $20 more per night, went with the Wynn. The Saturday night 4/25-26 was $269, averages out to $147 over 5 nights 25-30.

  5. This is in reference to the last person who bought a hotel of this star rating in this zone, it has nothing to do with the underlying hotel currently being offered, so it's meaningless in trying to determine the hotel that you will receive if you move forward with a purchase. Use our new RevealHotels.com tool (or the REVEAL HOTEL button inside the BiddingHelper.com EASY VIEW) to identify the current offering(s)... the one i'm currently seeing is the Encore. If i search to include Friday and/or Saturday nite after your current dates (so 5/1 and 5/2) it looks like the offer changes to The Wynn. If adding the Saturday before your current dates (4/25) it looks like it also changes to The Wynn. (but Reveal Hotels will indicate which one you're seeing on your own search) Is there a specific property that you are looking for (or trying to avoid)? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  6. Now when clicked through via Betterbidding bidding helper, Choose bed type: Encore Resort King $119, Encore Resort Two queens $139 Free parking Business center Casino Internet access Pool(s) Resort Restaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms Suite
  7. Hello can you help identify Las Vegas hotel 4/26/20...4/30/20? 5* Resort North Strip Fashion Show Mall $119 (was $354) 66% off Resort fee $45 Free parking Business center Casino Internet access Pool(s) Resort Restaurant(s) Spa services Accessible for hearing impaired Choose bed type: Wynn Resort King $119, Wynn Resort Two doubles $119 4/7/5 Rating 4.5/5 TA rating (25,405 reviews) last person got the Encore Las Vegas (When I looked yesterday said last person got the Wynn Las Vegas) Also considering a longer stay including the Saturday night which jumps up to $147/night (was $422 66% off) as Saturday night $269
  8. It's just the link i was getting from both of the above... maybe going thru these links on a desktop later when you are able will make the difference? Once you're at a desktop if you're unable to see the $177 price thru the links above let me know and once i see your post i'll re-run the search on my end to see if still available. It would be appreciated if you used our links for your purchases.
  9. No they don’t, they just have issues with it on mobile web and I can’t use desktop right now. Really frustrated with their customer service. what is special about the link? If you can tell me for future reference so hopefully I can do it myself - lol
  10. So did the link above give you the $177/nite rate? You may need to choose between a current Hotwire Coupon and your HotDollars... as i think they go in the same promo box (although it's been awhile since i had any Hot Dollars so things may have changed since then) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  11. You can user nearby cities as well to see if that shows you any local rental locations, but with HOTWIRE you can see the difference in locations under the description (some examples from a search i just did for 'Henderson, NV'... i have bolded the location for emphasis) Midsize Toyota Corolla or similar McCarran Intl. Airport(LAS) 8.9 miles from your location Economy Chevrolet Spark or similar 151 North Gibson Road 110, Henderson 3.3 miles from your location Midsize Hyundai Elantra or similar 534 S Boulder Hwy, Henderson 4.7 miles from your location Midsize Hyundai Elantra or similar 1050 W Warm Springs Rd, Henderson 4.6 miles from your location Airport rental locations are an easy target to raise taxes for airport improvements... local residents rarely need to rent from the airport so it's easy to get voter approval to add/increase taxes on rental cars at the airport.
  12. I would if I could get it to apply my hot cash ugh
  13. Hi, thank you for the advice re Hotwire. They were a little cheaper. Not sure I'm searching correctly -- the airport, even with the taxes, is still the lowest rate, but the taxes are outrageous! Instead of putting in the airport location, I just put in Las Vegas, NV -- does that give me all locations? Or should I try something different? I know about the 30 day rule -- I think my car insurance will cover me in the US, but I have to check. I'm sort of resigned to changing cars every 30 days, because it seems like the rentals are not any cheaper for > 30 days. Thank you for your help! If you have any suggestions about my search, do let me know.
  14. I'm assuming the $4 difference isn't going to get you to act, but if you click thru the offer is it still $181? What about if you click THIS LINK (although this link will likely only work for next 30 minutes or so)... of course, as we always comment, confirm your dates on the landing page if you do decide to purchase.
  15. It’s popping up as $181 in both for me ugh
  16. I'm seeing it for $177 in both BiddingHelper.com and in RevealHotels.com
  17. No but the 4 star for $181 is the Ravel
  18. You're already over your budget a hotel you don't want to stay at... i would suggest you use this as your 'price to beat' and try to upgrade to a nicer property that you do want to stay at. If you're referring to this one i DO NOT think this is the Ravel: 4.5* HOTWIRE Long Island City for $181 Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Business You can use our new REVEALhotels.com site to correctly identify Hotwire hotels. For the Ravel look for a 4 star hotel in the Long Island City zone (and confirm using the link previous provided) You're having a difficult enough time finding something in Long Island City that is decent and within your budget... i don't think you're going to have any luck finding anything in Manhattan that is outstanding and cheaper than LIC. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. 19. Two nights. 9/11 and 9/12. We have flights booked but we fly southwest so theoretically we still could change our flights to leave on the 10th but likely won’t as we are 3 wks out now. I am planning to hopefully opaque book the KCI Ramada in Platte City for that leg of the trip. I’m just trying to finalize the LIC plan. love LIC but not opposed to something in Manhattan that is outstanding and on budget
  20. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received a nice, inexpensive, deal for your long weekend in the city. Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay.
  21. Did it. Clicked the 8% link hotwire on 4*DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel New York - Times Square South, $108/nit. Thanks
  22. So ONE nite, checking in on 9/11 and departing on 9/12.... or TWO nites, checking in on 9/11 and departing on 9/13? Have you confirmed your airfare and are not arriving on 9/10, or have you already made other plans for that nite? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  23. I apologize. Have had much going on lately and apparently am only skimming things. We ended up sticking with our original plan of flying from Kansas City to LGA so I will share my KC win when I book it. We are looking for a hotel for the nights of 9/11-9/12. My preference is Long Island City. I’m flexible on star rating, but I want clean and safe and especially no bugs. I’d be interested in options of splitting the stay between two hotels if anything jumps out. My back up reservation is at the Howard Johnson in LIC and the total for the reservation is $382.00. More than I want to pay period but definitely more than I want to pay to stay there. I have $40 off a hot rate that I can combine with a coupon also. Wishlist is a balcony. A rooftop would be nice as well but not a need. I want to stay at the Ravel but i’m still hoping it will come down a bit from that $181
  24. Yes, that is high, i suspect that it includes the hotel resort fee (i looked for the 'mandatory fee' section and didn't see it so i though perhaps the hotel has stopped charging it, but now that i see the 'taxes and fees' i'm guessing that this includes the resort fee... but unfortunately know way to know for certain until somebody purchases and reports back). Unfortunately the majority of higher end hotels in NYC now charge a resort fee, so you may very well have to pay one regardless, but some other ideas in the area: 4* Madison Square Garden - Convention Area (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $106/nite with: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Fitness Center ==> EVEN Hotels New York - Times Square South 4* Rockefeller Center - Bryant Park (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $113/nite with: Restaurant Free Internet available Free Internet Fitness Center ==> CLUB QUARTERS HOTEL TIMES SQUARE - MIDTOWN 3.5* Empire State Building Area (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $138/nite with: Free Internet Free Breakfast Free Internet in room Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas ==> Springhill Suites Midtown Manhattan/Fifth Avenue 4* HOTWIRE Rockefeller Center for $108 Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet ==> New York Hilton Midtown... there is a $30/nite resort fee at this property and is most an impersonal business hotel, but it is just at the northern end of Times Square if location is most important for what you're looking for 3.5* HOTWIRE Times Square for $115 Free Internet Boutique Smoke Free Fitness ==> Ameritania Times Square One of the above work for your needs and budget? Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  25. Easy access to that area is ok. This is a great hotel, but the fee & tax is very high?
  26. Do you have to be directly in Times Square or just need to have fairly easy access to that area? How about: 4.5* Madison Square Garden - Convention Area (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $112/nite with: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Free Internet in room Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas ==> Crowne Plaza HY36 Midtown Manhattan would be my best guess here... fairly new hotel (~2 years old) that has been getting great reviews and a 5 minute walk to the start of Times Square Would this work for your needs this trip? If not, what is your expected budget for this trip? (per nite before fees/taxes) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
