  2. When bidding on PRICELINE there is no way to target (or avoid) a specific hotel since no information regarding the actual hotel is provided (just like how in your first post the amenities were amenities that are available at all hotels in the zone at that star rating). To have a guess as to the hotel you may receive you need to use HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS (since with each of these services the amenities shown are specific to a particular hotel being offered), but unfortunately i'm not seeing the Country Inn and Suites offered for your dates thru either HOTWIRE or PRICELINE EXPRESS. However, i am seeing it offered HERE (<-- click here and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $71/nite which would seem to be a good deal if this is convenient for your conference. The Quality Inn & Suites Champaign for $64/nite (again, confirm your dates on the landing page) would be another option in the area and includes both Free Breakfast and Free Parking, but it is not as well reviewed as the Country Inn and Suites. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  3. The Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Champaign North, IL doesn't look to bad. Is there a way to know how I could book this hotel.
  4. Is there a way to bid on the 3.5 star or 3 star and know what hotels those are?
  5. What is your maximum bid for a 4* hotel, as i think $70 has almost zero chance of being successful. Without going into too much detail, i'm speculating that there is only one 4* hotel in this area, I Hotel and Conference Center, which priceline does not appear to have any availability for your dates (if you click this previously link and search for your dates you'll see it's indicated as sold-out). Even a direct purchase for your dates is $189/nite, making a $70 maximum bid well under half of prevailing rates, which gives you a very low chance of success. We can suggest a strategy that goes up to whatever amount you'd like (even if only $70) but you need to realize that your chance of success is extremely low if you're only willing to go as high as $70. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there.
  6. Yes, I want to bid on a 4 star hotel.

  8. On PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking the links below.) 2.5* Champaign - Urbana (<<<----CLICK HERE to go direct to the listing) for $49 Free Parking Free Breakfast Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas Pets Allowed Business Center Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Internet in room >>>Best guess would be the La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham Champaign. While a little outside the zip you're looking at, not too far and a hair under your budget plus you can use the promo code in my signature. With bidding, you have to be able to accept any hotel in the zone at the star rating picked, there is no way to know what hotel you might get when bidding. With PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE, one can make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing. Additionally, with Champaign I'm seeing one large zone and you might wind up anywhere in that zone if you bid. I'm not seeing much that would fit on HOTWIRE, unfortunately. Would the potential La Quinta be of interest? If not, are you interested in bidding? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  9. Just wondering how will I know what hotel I will get.
  10. I just would like a 4 or 3.5 star hotel that's near zipcode 61801. I'm going to a conference there and would like to be close by. Really would like a hotel 50$ per night but can go up to 70$ if need be. Also, would like free parking, breakfast and internet. That's all I really need.
  11. It looks like you're on the priceline bidding page and the amenities that you've listed are show next to each star rating. If i've assessed the situation correctly, these are amenities that are offered at every hotel of this star rating in the zone... not specific to one actual hotel you are bidding on (in fact, at this point of the bidding process PRICELINE has not yet even checked inventory for your dates, so there would be know way for them to 'know' the amenities that are associated with the hotel that you would win) So let's back up... What is it that you're looking for in a hotel for this trip and what is your expected budget? (per nite before taxes/fees) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. PS- i suspect you are also at times having difficulty finding the bidding page for priceline as they constantly moving/hiding it... we have set up the following site for easy access: BiddingForHotelRooms.com
  12. I can't seem to figure out the hotels names for the 4 star and 3 1/2 hotels for priceline. Travel dates 9/10/19-9/13/19 Zone 1 I think. Is the zone, the general area where the hotel is located? I was going to bid on a hotel. 4 star Pets Allowed Free Parking Free Internet Free Breakfast Business Center 3 1/2 Star Pets Allowed Free Parking Free Internet Free Breakfast Business Center

  15. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received one of the hotels you were hoping for and you're looking forward to your trip. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay... and good luck in Vegas!
  16. Thanks for all your help! Ended going with the $155 a night ARIA!
  17. First, is your budget $140USD including all fees/taxes (and including resort fees) or is $140 based upon the room rate alone? Looks like i highlighted the wrong PRICELINE EXPRESS offer, as i showed a hotel in the Strip Northeast zone while you inquired about a hotel in the Strip-Southwest zone,, for the one you originally inquired about: 5* The Strip - Southwest (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $155/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center ==> Aria is my best guess for this one Understood, but what about something like the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas which is also 5 star rated and in the Strip Southwest zone... but is not included in your list of acceptable hotels above? Would this (or any other 5 star hotel not in your list above) be an acceptable outcome? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  18. I see. I'm not sure. I'm picking Strip Central West and Strip SouthWest for the zones that have these hotels and for every additional bid I've been including zones that do not have any 5* hotels. Do you have any suggestions?
  19. Just to clarify, my post above targets the hotels indicated by using the links provided, which are from PRICELINE EXPRESS and are before fees/taxes. If you intend to bid for a hotel room how do you plan to target the hotels you listed and avoid the any you don't want? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  20. It shouldn't be an issue as long as you call/email the hotel beforehand to let them know that you will be arriving after midnite. That language is mostly there for when there is a multi-nite stay and the guest shows up to check-in mid-trip... after the first day the hotel may have already marked you as a 'no show' (and on very busy dates may have re-sold your room) However, since you have some time before your trip, i would actually take a two pronged approach: 1) call the hotel informing them of your after midnite arrival, ask them to note it in the computer so that you're not viewed as a 'no show', and get the name of the person who you spoke with 2) a week later send an email "I have an upcoming stay (provide details, including dates so the hotel can look up your reservation) and have previously called the hotel to let you know that my flight does not get in until after midnite. Can you please confirm that this is marked on my reservation so that i'm not viewed as a 'no show' and i won't have any issues when checking-in. Thank you." You could reverse the two above, but i prefer to talk with somebody first as it helps ensure that it gets done (especially when you ask for the person's name who you are speaking with) and then follow-up with an email so you have something in writing should there be any issues. If you're very concerned you could also call the hotel on the day of travel/arrival and let them know that you are on your way and due to arrive after midnite, so please don't mark you as a no-show. If you need help with this trip feel free to start a NEW TOPIC in the CALIFORNIA >> Priceline (San Francisco) section of the board and we can provide you a bidding strategy there to follow. Also, as priceline is constantly moving/hiding the 'Name Your Own Price' bidding form, you may want to bookmark BiddingForHotelRooms.com for quickest/easiest access to their bidding page. Good luck... please remember to post your win or let us know how we can be of further help.
  21. You're right! My husband instructed me to try here so I guess he has been here before haha! I've referenced your post on how to bid for our target hotels and will utilise that to keep increasing our bid. $130-140 USD seems reasonable for our budget including the fees and taxes.
  22. Welcome back... you've actually been a member here since 2011 (see your previous thread here). Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. Search using our BiddingHelper.com tool and you will see the offers (from both PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE) along with prices, amenities, etc. Do you have a maximum budget in mind (per nite before fees/taxes) as your $100CAD doesn't appear to be close to having success for this trip (not sure if this was your 'real' budget or if you were just trying to see how to get the amenities associated with the offer)... you're more likely looking in the $130-$145 USD for one of the hotels that you're looking for above; is this within your budget? If you bid for a hotel room (and NOTE that as you probably have had trouble finding the bidding page of the priceline website we have set up the following for quickest/easiest access: BiddingForHotelRooms.com) how do you intend to target the hotels you mention above (and avoid any that you don't want)? For the two offers above: 5* The Strip - Northeast (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $150/nite with: Free Parking Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pets Allowed Restaurant Free Internet available Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino ==> Palazzo ... note that i believe this one is different than the description you posted above, i believe THIS ONE is the $155/nite property you're seeing and i think that one is Venetian 5* The Strip - Central West (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $193/nite with: Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Free Internet in room ==> The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Autograph Collection by Marriott Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  23. Hello, We'll arrive at SFO on 10/2 at around 12:30 am so of course we're looking for a hotel from 10/1 on to spend the night. Just read on the NYOP site where it gives you the room total (if bid was accepted) that you must check-in on the check-in date (10/1): Reservation is guaranteed for arrival on the confirmed check-in date only. Does that mean we cannot place the booking or can we send the hotel an email where we state that we would arrive after midnight? Don't want to bid and then the reservation gets canceled because we are like 2 or 3 hours late. Thanks, Kat
  24. Through the Express Deals they're showing 2 options: 5* Casino Hotel $193 USD The Strip - Central West Amenities Free Internet Access Bedding Business Center Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Pets Allowed Restaurant Swimming pool 5* $155 USD The Strip - Southwest Amenities Bedding Business Center Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Restaurant Swimming Pool Any thoughts on which hotels these could be and if through bidding can get even more savings?
  25. Hi there, I'm just happened to stumble upon this site and am looking for help to book Las Vegas strip for either Bellagio/Aria/Cosmo (Vdara is ok too) for Oct. 3 - Oct. 8 2019. I tried a bid for $100 CAD to see how others are getting the amenities list and was rejected but got this list: Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Restaurant, Fitness Center, Guest Score 7/10 or Higher. Any help is appreciated.
  26. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you're happy with the results... this really is a GREAT location right on the river! Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay.
