  2. Unfortunately i don't think you're going to find what you're looking for as your budget isn't realistic for NYC for these dates... even the least expensive 3 star hotel in any area of Manhattan for your dates is over $100 all-in (and that's before even taking any of your preferences into consideration). Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know whatever you decide to do or if your budget changes at all.
  3. Welcome to BetterBidding! For this hotel offer: 4.5* HOTWIRE Wailea - Makena for $436.00 Free Internet Resort Pet Friendly Boutique Near Beach Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant ==> Andaz Maui at Wailea would be my best guess for this one You could also see this (as well as most other hotels) by searching with our BiddingHelper.com tool. In the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW click the BLUE 'Find Match in Hotel List' button and it will show you the closest match(es). Anything less than 100% feel free to ask for help and when we have completed our research we will add it to the HOTEL LIST. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  4. For the original 4.5 star Times Square property in your first post: 4.5* Times Square - Theatre District for $188/nite (this link has a lower price... click to confirm your dates on the landing page): Free Wifi Available Free Breakfast Pets Allowed Airport Shuttle No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Fitness Center Accessible Rooms/Facilities Spa Restaurant Free Wifi ==> The Time New York is my best guess for this one I would also consider some hotels that are just outside of Times Square and which gets excellent reviews: 4* HOTWIRE Madison Square Garden for $145.00 Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Fitness Restaurant Business ==> Even Hotel Times Square South Any of the above work for your needs? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. PS- please also follow-up your previous NYC Hotel for a Broadway Show thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. Thanks.
  5. I prefer a property where vandalism is not an issue, as it is at YOTEL. I prefer a property where customer service and clean rooms are top notch. WIFI isn't a deal breaker. I have unlimited data on my plan. Also, centrally located is a plus b/c I do A LOT of walking when I visit. I also prefer comfy beds b/c I walk a lot. I would like a nice view being that I'll be by myself on the 4th and most likely staying in. I really cannot do more than $100/night.

  7. Yes, the higher rated hotels are usually nicer, but as far as perks it really depends what benefits you are looking for in a hotel and what is important to you... Free Breakfast (one of the most popular sought after amenities) is usually only found at mid-range properties and rarely at high star rated hotels; Free Internet, another desirable amenity is also more likely at mid-range hotels although now that more NYC hotels are charging resort fees this is usually 'included' in that fee. On the other hand if you're referring to things like name brand soaps, lotions, and high thread count linens, then i'd agree, these are more often found and the higher rated hotels. However, despite your wants, you are likely going to have to focus on your needs, as your budget is on the very low end for NYC so you're going to have to 'give' someplace... what factors are more important to you and which are less important? For instance, would you prefer a higher rated/reviewed property that was less centrally located or would you prefer something that is 'ok' but more well located? What is your maximum budget on an all-in per nite basis? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  8. For 6/27-29, I'm seeing: On PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking the link below.) 4.5* Times Square - Theatre District for $143 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas >>>I'm not seeing the same 4.5 that you mention above; I'm seeing this listing and the best guess would be the Westin TS. On HOTWIRE: 4.5* HOTWIRE Times Square for $147.00 Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Restaurant Business Golf ==> A guess would be the Sanctuary Hotel 4.5* HOTWIRE Times Square for $178.00 Free Internet Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Wheelchair Accessible ==> A guess would be the The Time Hotel. Hotels set their own prices not based on what other hotels are on offer. Additionally, % recommended has been seen to vary from search to search. I searched for both 1 adult and 2 adults and am seeing what appears to be the same listing but on some searches it's showing 80% and some it's showing 70%. Let us know what you decide or if we can be of any further assistance. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  9. Thanks for the note... I was away from a computer all afternoon, i was able to update most of the codes from my mobile device, but for the BiddingHelper.com code i needed to be at a computer. I too sporadically got the cookie issue today while on a mobile device, but it was working fine all day (for me) from a desktop... i'm hoping it's one of HOTWIRE's internal experiments and will be fixed soon. In case i need to further provide Hotwire with additional information, were you too on a mobile device when this happened or did you also experience it on a desktop? Was this only from the EASY VIEW tab of BiddingHelper.com or did you also have an issue with the 'regular' HOTWIRE tab? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Thanks.
  10. Congrats on your success. Excellent win for this Radisson property! Hope the hotel will work well for your travel plans. Thank you for sharing your win with the board and helping us update the Atlantic City Hotwire Hotel List with this new HOTWIRE property. Enjoy your stay.
  11. For one person seeking a 4.5* NYC hotel in Times Square area on June 27 - 29, I got the following results: 1. Priceline Express shows a hotel with rating of 7.0 for price of $192 per night with these amenities: Pets Allowed Restaurant Airport Shuttle Free Internet available Free Internet Free Breakfast Fitness Center Bed choice available Any idea which hotel this is? The 7.0 rating sounded low for a 4.5* hotel -- any ideas on that. 2. The same search (same dates, same 4.5*, same Times Square district) in Hotwire Easy View brings up two choices and a real anomaly. The lowest price is $147 per night (seem pretty low!), and 80% thumbs-up recommendation, and shows these amenities: Free breakfast Free internet Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Restaurant(s) Business center Golf nearby Any idea which one this is? 3. The second option on Hotwire Easy View for these same parameters is $188 per night, with a 70% recommendation, and the following amenities: Free internet Boutique hotel Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Wheelchair accessible Have a guess on which this hotel is? Is it weird that this hotel is $40 per night more expensive the choice no. 2 and yet has a slightly lower recommendation? These prices do not yet include the 5 and 8 percent discount offered on your site. I need to move soon to make my arrangements. Any suggestions among these three? Thanks!
  12. Just booked this hotel today for July 21 to 27. It is the Claridge - a Radisson Hotel. Thank you for your help.
  13. Hi, 1. Still on a certain page there is the old promo code 2. Recently I'm facing issued on Hotwire via your site. I'm getting "cookies" error, although all are enabled. After I clean all cookies it works for a while and then happen again.
  14. I don't mind staying at a 3-3.5* hotel, however, the higher stars hotel usually have better perks and are the better hotels. I cannot cancel my trip as i have already bought the plane tickets. I simply can't afford spending that much money for a hotel room that I may not be in. It was fun to look at all the options and got a little excited thinking I would have a nice view of some fireworks from my hotel. I'm traveling alone and my family decided to travel away for the 4th, so I have to find a place to stay. thanks for your time and insight.
  15. You're welcome... let us know how you make out with your HOTWIRE purchase or if we can be of further help. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  16. So what is your plan... are you going to cancel the trip or do you have something else in mind that is within your budget? Rates for these dates are actually very reasonable for NYC... it's low season (summer) and this particular weekend is right after the July 4th holiday, so there is almost no business travel inflating hotel prices. Given these rates are actually low for NYC, if you are looking to visit the city at some point in the future, I would consider raising your budget or lowering your star rating. If you were expecting $100 all-in after taxes and fees, I don't think that is realistic for a decent NYC hotel at any time of year. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  17. We have been issued a new code from HOTWIRE Please use SUMMERFUN8. Thank you for letting us know of the issue.
  18. Please start a NEW TOPIC for your own trip and somebody will assist you there. In your post please also include your expected budget (per nite before fees/taxes). Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Thanks.
  19. Hello, I am so new to this and it's still really confusing. I need help trying to book the best deal for the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa (Central Kaanapali) for Aug 31 - Sept 4, 2019. Please help me find the best deal and how to book. Thanks!
  20. I've reached out to HOTWIRE, will update once I hear anything. I don't know if they will make this code valid or issue a new code entirely.
  21. SUMMERTIME8 - it says that "This promo code isn't valid" Can you check please? Screenshot
  22. thank you for the information. it appears as though the Omni Berkshire has the best reviews from past guests, however, after taxes and fees, the total is $524.58, which ends up costing almost $175/night. I checked out the cheaper $90/night option hotel, and it has atrocious reviews. /: I appreciate all your help, but I've spent hours looking and reading that I must separate myself from the monitor before I get sick. Maybe next time!
  23. I'm away from a computer for the next few hours (on mobile now so ignore any typos) so won't be able to search/research until later. However, you can easily see all 5 star hotels within your budget using the sort/filter functionality of our BiddingHelper.com tool. Do your search and then in either (or both) the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW or PRICELINE EXPRESS tabs filter the results (using the checkboxes on the left side of the page) to show you only 5 star hotels and then click the PRICE button near the top of the results... you will then see all 5 star hotels offered for these dates sorted by price from lowest to highest. As well, if you like researching you can then click the BLUE 'Find Match in Hotel List' button within any listing. Anything less than 100% we can research that property further for you and update the hotel list accordingly. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how you make out or how we can be of further help.
  24. I appreciate your patience with me so much. it's my first time utilizing this site and I'm a little lost, but your help is amazing. Just for sh!ts and giggles, what 5* hotel do you think is being offered within the midtown/rockerfeller/central park area under $150/night? I'm really digging researching these places and seeing all these amazing deals!
  25. Each one has a link attached right above the description Please use the links in the post / on the board for your purchases. If you have any issues let us know and we'll walk you thru step-by-step for whichever property you decide upon. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
