  2. Good Morning, I ended up booking a Springhill Suites by Marriott right through the Marriott website. With so many hotels that have expensive resort fees and not know which hotel I might end up with, I opted to not use the Express deal this time around. What might seem like a good price for a hotel can quickly change once I get stuck with a $30 resort fee/night and $15/ night parking. I appreciate your help again. I'll reach out next time I'm going somewhere. P.S. I did use the bidding helper tool quite a bit and that is a great tool! Nice job to the developers who came up with that!

  4. Not sure what this resort could be as none of the hotels on the "PRICELINE HOTEL LIST" show a resort fee of $40/night... Amenities: Swimming Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center Any ideas?

Thanks AaronJB I decided to go with $130 4* Union Square West that appeared when I went back. Resort fee was less so for an extra $10 a night I decided to go that path as it had a better tripadviosr rating to the east 3.5* Ended up getting The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel. Happy with the purchase - I found it for $210 so $80 savings - great value. Thanks again for the advice and I used the betterbidding links to purchase. Cheers!
  6. Ended up booking through priceline. Changed the dates to 4/4- 4/7. We "won" the SpringHill Suites Orlando Convention Center/International Drive for $93.00/ night. Applied the 5% coupon and ended up paying $338.xx. 3* PRICELINE Intl. Drive - Pointe Orlando Area 8+ Guest Rating Free Breakfast Free Internet (in Room) Free Parking Outdoor Pool Non-Smoking Gym Handicap Accessible Business Center
  7. Twinscandc, Welcome to Betterbidding. 😀 Rates and inventory can vary significantly depending on dates. Please let us know your dates of travel and desired budget per night and we would be happy to offer suggestions on how to proceed. Do note that PRICELINE bidding only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy. PRICELINE EXPRESS (where you can look for listings with a bed choice option) or HOTWIRE (where you can indicate the amount of people in the party) are a good option if there are more than 2 people. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

  9. Hello, Long time listener, first time caller 😉 - I am new to this site so I am not sure if this is the right place to ask my question. So Mr. Administrator, if I'm not in the right place, can you give me some direction :). My question(s) are: Did you bid multiple times? Did you start at a lower price and then added areas, increase price, etc? I am looking to book a room in the downtown Charleston area for late May as a College graduation trip for my twin daughters. I've used Priceline - Name your own price in the past, but it's been several years. I need a place to start! I've stayed at the Restoration for a wedding before and it's a BEAUTIFUL hotel, I'd love to stay again but maybe get a deal similar to yours!! Help!!
  10. Do you mean this one: 3.5* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $82.73 Free Parking Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Tennis Kitchenette ==> from the Orlando Hotwire Hotel List this does match previous reports for the Towneplace Suites Orlando @ Flamingo Crossings West Entrance and that would continue to be our best guess for this one Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes.

    Number of guests?

Keep in mind that most NYC hotels are going to charge more for more than double occupancy (especially if all guests are adults) and/or rooms with 2 beds. As in the example above, the price for 2 guests isn't that bad for this time of year, it's when increasing the occupancy that the prices go beyond what you're hoping to spend. I assume all guests are adults (and none are on the cusp that could still be considered a child/teenager)? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  12. Are you still confident that the $82.72 3.5 star on Hotwire in Bonnet Creek as Towneplace Suites? FULL AMENITIES: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Complimentary Breakfast, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Kitchenette, Tennis, Free Parking, Pet Friendly
  13. So that we can suggest a strategy tailored to what you are looking for, what would be your desired budget per night for this stay? Are you looking only for the Doubletree or something nearby acceptable as well? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

  16. Congrats on your success. Really nice win for this W property, which is right by Navy Pier. I'd suggest trying to ask for a room on a higher floor - rooms either look towards the city or lake (upgrade) and a higher floor offers a better chance of a good view in either direction. Please let me know if you have any city questions. Thank you for sharing your win and using the site's PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to start your purchases and searches. Enjoy your stay.
  17. I needed to book it, so I did a new search through your link and got the W Lakeshore. Thanks for the help!
  18. Sorry, one last thing I do not want the Hyatt centric. Thanks
  19. Also, the links take me to the Priceline home page. Am I supposed to start a new search and book that way?
  20. I'd be ok with either of those...do you think the chances are pretty good it will be one of the two? There is a mobile Priceline deal for $89 for the Intercontinental that I was considering.

I'm seeing on HOTWIRE: 3.5* HOTWIRE Union Square West for $112.00 Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> Best guess would be the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway While there's no guarantees, given how expensive SF hotels often are - I would say looking at rates for these dates for April, there's probably more risk of rates going higher than lower. Let us know what you decide or if we can be of any further assistance. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  22. I'm seeing on PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking the link below.) 4.5* Magnificent Mile -Gold Coast (<<<---CLICK HERE to go direct to the listing) for $78 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Indoor Swimming Pool Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas >>>The W Lakeshore or Intercontinental would be guesses in this case. Are you still working on something for your Pre-Cruise Hotel or have you made a decision yet for those dates? Have a great trip.

Oops - Apologies it should be April. 4/12- 4/14
  25. Thank you. From what I can see it doesn't look like the Sofitel has a swimming pool. I'd like to stick with 4* and up I think. I see this one on PL, mag mile, 4.5*. Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Indoor Swimming Pool Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas There are a lot under $100 in those areas on PL, but the above one is the only I see where indoor pool is listed.
  26. Looking at a 4* on Pricel8ne Express for Lake Buena Vista 3/22-3/23 $67 per night Pets, Fitness, Business, Restaurant, No Smoking, Internet, Pool 60% Rating Resort Fee of $31.44 is throwing me off im thinking Sheraton ORLANDO LBV
  27. Complimentary internet, Business center, Fitness center, Near beach, Oceanfront hotel, Pool(s), ResortRestaurant(s), Smoke-free rooms Happy with this hotel and its price. This is for two nights following a cruise. I was thinking we would end up with something more budgety, but this will suit us nicely for a couple of days. This hotel does have a $35/ night resort fee, but we'll have beach chairs, nibbles and welcome drinks.
  28. I'm seeing on PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking the links below.) 4.5* Downtown - River North (<<<---CLICK HERE to go direct to the listing) for $74 Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Free Internet in room Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas >>>Best guess would be the Sofitel 3.5* Magnificent Mile -Gold Coast (<<<----CLICK HERE to go direct to the listing) for $58 Pets Allowed Business Center Indoor Swimming Pool Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Internet in room Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas >>>Best guess would be the Aloft Mag Mile; while not a 4.5, this would have a pool and be moderately more centrally located. Let us know what you decide and if we can be of any further assistance. I'm also very familiar with Chicago and am happy to answer any city questions. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
