  2. I apologize, I missed the question at the end. 4 Star in LIC. I have booked it before and got the Ravel and it appears to still be the Ravel although I'd be happy with any of the 4 stars within the footprint. I would love to stay there again with my teenage son. Basically my ideal is to stay at the Ravel for $300 or less for 2 nights (September 11 & 12) but will end up staying the nicest place in the area that we can afford if it isn't doable.

  8. Unfortunately there is no way to know if rates will drop or move even higher (and a third option, often not considered, is that maybe this hotel disappears entirely!) Your trip is during the start of peak season in NYC so the price is certainly reasonable (and i'd go as far to say the price is 'pretty good'), but based upon the criteria you laid out above and your other comments in this thread, i'm guessing that while price is important, it's even more important that it's a nice hotel... i think the bigger risk would be this property disappearing and nothing else that is as well reviewed being offered for a similar price. Given it meets every criteria you have i would lean towards booking sooner rather than later. Could the price go down $10-$20/nite, sure... but i could also see it increasing by $50-$60/nite (and i would think it very unlikely dropping $50-$60/nite) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  9. Thanks. I agree the crowne plaza meets my criteria. Based on your experience and knowledge, do you feel like this is a fair price for this resort? Do you feel that prices will drop any further or this is a good Time to book.

  11. The above are from PRICELINE EXPRESS... if you click the links provided above you'll see any bed type options that are offered. I also checked HOTWIRE but nothing there met your criteria; there was a Wall St-Downtown hotel for about $135/nite (research indicated it was the Club Quarters Hotel or the World Center Hotel, i forget which, but they are basically sister properties in the same hotel) which i thought was interesting for the price, but i didn't pursue it any further since it doesn't meet most of your criteria (i only found it interesting because of the price). There is also the Westin Times Square for about the same price as the Crowne Plaza HY36, but the Crowne Plaza is a much better option in multiple respects (location, reviews, newer hotel, etc). Since i believe the Crowne Plaza meets each of the criteria you wanted, how about a different approach.... why not the Crowne Plaza? What is 'missing' from this hotel that you are looking for that has you looking further? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  12. Thanks just looking up those options. Is there anything similar available as a Priceline express at the moment? Also is there a bed choice available with these options? Thx
  13. How about: 4.5* Rockefeller Center - Bryant Park (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $205/nite with: Pets Allowed Restaurant Free Internet available Free Internet Fitness Center ==> best guess would be the Omni Berkshire 4.5* Madison Square Garden - Convention Area (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $217/nite with: Pets Allowed Restaurant Free Internet available Free Internet Fitness Center ==> Crowne Plaza HY36 Midtown Manhattan... fairly new hotel with great reviews and centrally located; i think this one hits all of your touch points above Either of these works for your needs? 15. Thanks. for this trip, we decided to book outside of hotwire/priceline due to a better corporate rate available.
  16. 3x ... and please follow-up your October 2016 Priceline NYC hotel thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip. Then reply here and we will have a look at your upcoming trip above.
  17. Hello, I would like assistance with a booking for NYC, September 27 - 30. 2 adults. prefer 2 beds, but can live with 1. Looking to stay close to 5th ave or even Chelsea / meatpacking district. Would like to stay around $200 - $230 per night. Can stretch to $250 if something is really a good value / deal. For us, priority is over 90% recommended on tripadvisor plus 90% recommended positive hotwire reviews. I am also looking at pricline express / bid deals so should I post a similar thread there? thanks for the help!!

  21. Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the upper right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. For the HOTWIRE hotels above: 3* HOTWIRE Ka'anapali for $190.00 Free Internet Beachfront Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa ==> Kaanapali Beach Hotel 4* HOTWIRE Ka'anapali for $234.00 Free Internet Resort Pet Friendly Boutique Beachfront Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant ==> Westin Maui Although i'm curious why even the interest in the one above with a 75% recommendation when this one has a 90% recommendation, has a higher review rating, and is cheaper: 4* HOTWIRE Ka'anapali for $207.00 Free Parking Free Internet Near Beach Fitness Pool Restaurant Golf Spa ==> Honua Kai Resort my best guess here, should this be of any interest For the PRICELINE EXPRESS hotel i'm not currently seeing any 3.5* property offered in this zone when searching for your dates, are you still seeing this one on your own search? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. 25. Thanks! I've actually decided to not use Priceline bidding for this trip, since I am worried about getting Westin Maui which is under major renovations right now.. I'll try Hotwire instead.
  26. Thanks for the additional info. Great, as resort fees are becoming more and more common in NYC, it's nice to see a hotel that still does not charge them. I'm very familiar with NYC, let me know if you need any help/advice in the area, one suggestion i will make that is a 10-15 minute walk from your hotel: Adrienne's Pizza Bar 54 Stone St ==> it's a restaurant (kid friendly), not a slice shop, fairly reasonably priced for NYC (except for beer, wine, and liquor which just like most places in NYC, quickly pads a check) considering the quality of ingredients. Stick with their square pizza as that is what they are most well known for. Let us know if you need any other suggestions or help planning your trip.

  28. Welcome to BetterBidding! As of this point in time, you should be fine using Kihei as a re-bid zone (future readers of this thread should of course always double check their re-bid zones). We have seen the situation you describe above before and never had an issue. Also, if you haven't seen it yet, we have set up the following page for the quickest and easiest access to the NYOP Bidding page: BiddingForHotelRooms.com ... please bookmark and use this link for your current and future bidding. You can try, but these were most likely for dates that were very different from your own, and therefore what it takes to win a bid is also likely going to be very different... i suspect that at the moment for a 4 star hotel in this zone for your dates you're more likely looking at the mid-$200's. Any question feel free to ask. Good luck and let us know how it goes or how we can be of further help.
