  7. Yes, this is the first leg of the journey. Got too many moving parts still to cover the remaining legs. Once I have more clarity, I'll cancel my conventional bookings and keep you updated on well I play the game.
  8. Congratulations on your success! An excellent deal! Hope you're happy with the results and looking forward to your return visit to NYC. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy (this leg of?) your stay.
  9. Saw a match for this hotel on Priceline Express for $92/night, and a match for $95/night on Hotwire. Using the PRICELINE links from this website, I was taken to the NYOP page, and decided to see how low I could go since I had a floor price. Started the bidding at $80, and was countered at $101. Using my rebid zones, I raised my bid by $3 until I was hit at $89. Including taxes and $10 travel insurance, the total amount charged for 2 nights is $227.08. The Westin's website offered a prepaid room for the same dates for $449.55, so there was a savings of 49.5%.
  10. PATH train runs 24/7 so missing the last train isn't an issue, but is a bit inconvenient if flying into LGA (as you need to cross two rivers and get to the other side of Manhattan)... it's a more viable option if flying into Newark (EWR) or if arriving into Manhattan via train/bus. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help..
  11. I'm flying into LaGuardia at like 9 am and I have some friends in the LIC area which is part of the reason I like to stay there particularly. Flying from Kansas, only spending a couple days in the city then taking a commuter train to the Hudson Valley area for a few days. Have an airbnb in the mountains there. Never stayed in Jersey before or used PATH and a little uncomfortable with it being iffy on missing last train for the evening. I take a lot of comfort knowing LIC is a $10 uber from Manhattan if necessary.
  12. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you're pleased with the outcome and looking forward to your arrival at the end of the week. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay.
  13. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you were offered a bed choice with this offer and that you're happy with the results. Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Have a great stay!
  14. I was bidding on a 3* in the West Fargo zone and got this hotel on my first bid of $60. I assume I overbid slightly, but there's just not a lot of feedback for the Fargo area. I think my winning bids for Fargo over the last two years are $54--$58 for a 3*, so I bid a little higher because it's summer and I thought prices would go up? Anyhow, my total with taxes was $72.71. Used the BetterBidding PRICELINE link. Thanks to all who keep this site going.
  15. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see it was the hotel guessed and it was an even better deal/hotel than you originally had thought. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay and have fun at the park!
  16. Are you looking to bid on PRICELINE OR were you looking for a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal? If the latter, using our BiddingHelper.com tool and using the PRICELINE EXPRESS tab: 5* Convention Center - US Capitol North (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $257/nite with: Pets Allowed Restaurant Free Internet available Free Internet Fitness Center ==> the 'FIND MATCH in HOTEL LIST' button indicates this is likely the Conrad Washington DC Does this work for your plans and budget? 17. I did and I got the Swan. It actually had went up to $106 when I went back in but still a good deal:) Thanks
  18. So did you purchase this one? Please confirm that you received the Swan. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  19. Looking for a 4 or 4.5 * hotel near the Capital One arena (Convention center area). Dates 7/23-7/24/2019 (1 night). Less than $300/night
  20. This rate was for two queen beds; one bed would have been $76. Amenities = Free internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access. Used the BB HOTWIRE link, of course.

  22. For this one: 4* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $103.00 Resort Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa ==> best guess would be the Walt Disney World Swan Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. 26. At current prices it looks like $300 all-in is going to be a bit of a stretch for a 4 star hotel... On HOTWIRE i'm seeing: 4* HOTWIRE Long Island City for $160.00 Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business ==> best guess for this one would be the Ravel Hotel you're looking for, but it's over budget If you're not flexible on budget how about: 3.5* HOTWIRE Long Island City for $128.00 Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Room Accessible ==> best guess for this one would be the Manhattan View to Wyndham Garden Long Island City In this area i'm also seeing on PRICELINE EXPRESS: 3.5* Long Island City (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $140/nite with: Pets Allowed Airport Shuttle Free Internet available Free Internet ==> Hotel Vetiver, in case you want another option, although this too is a little over your budget on an all-in basis And also over your budget (but another option at the 4 star level): 4* Long Island City (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $159/nite with: Pets Allowed Restaurant Airport Shuttle Free Internet available Free Internet ==> Z NYC Hotel is my guess here Lastly, what direction are you coming in from and how are you traveling into the city (car, bus, train, plane, etc... if flying, which airport); would staying in Jersey City be an option as there is an excellent deal there (under $100/nite for 4 star hotel) which is near a PATH train which you could use to commute into the Manhattan. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts (or how it goes if you take any of the offers above) and we'll take it from there.
  27. I apologize, I missed the question at the end. 4 Star in LIC. I have booked it before and got the Ravel and it appears to still be the Ravel although I'd be happy with any of the 4 stars within the footprint. I would love to stay there again with my teenage son. Basically my ideal is to stay at the Ravel for $300 or less for 2 nights (September 11 & 12) but will end up staying the nicest place in the area that we can afford if it isn't doable.
