  2. Apologies for not following up to close the thread. Thank you for the reminder, Thereuare. I looked back on my 2012 travel records for this trip I ended up going with my backup plan - Hilton Garden Inn Times Square - using Tingo @ $156.00. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do.

    Bidding Help

Apologies for not following up to close the thread. Thank you for the reminder, Thereuare. I ended up using my backup - the Clarion Hotel at SeaTac - because my bidding strategies didn't work

    Disney World in May

Welcome to Betterbidding. What would be the factors (budget, etc) in terms of deciding 5 days or 7? For example: For 5/11-16 I'm seeing on PRICELINE EXPRESS (please confirm the correct dates of travel are showing on the detail page after clicking the links below.) 4* Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek (<<<---CLICK HERE to go direct to the listing) for $211 Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center >>>Best guess would be the Dolphin 4.5* Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek (<<<---CLICK HERE to go direct to the listing) for $216 Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center >>>Best guess would be the Swan Let us know your thoughts on the above and we would be happy to research other periods during this time or all 7 days if you are interested in staying the full period. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

Did you bid on this? What did you find out?
  7. Hey everyone, was hoping to get The Venetian for our short stay in Vegas. Was using the BetterBidding Link which gave me the following amenities: Resort, Casino, Suite, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa, Free Parking, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower
  8. Hello! I'm looking for an onsite Disney hotel for 5-7 nights between May 11-18. Would consider Value, but prefer Moderate and Deluxe which seems like it puts me at 3-4 stars. I would like to keep it to about $250 max per night. Thanks for the help!

    4* Bonnet Creek $166/night

Budget could be $250. Specifically any of the ones you can book directly (including Swan/Dolphin). No minimum star rating (I believe they're all 3* and above). Unfortunately, they all charge for parking now so the "PRICELINE HOTEL LISTS" are a little out of date. All-Stars Pop Century Art of Animation Port Orleans Caribbean Beach Coronado Springs Animal Kingdom Lodge Boardwalk Beach Club Yacht Club Swan / Dolphin Those would all be in that price range.

    4* Bonnet Creek $166/night

Specifically which hotels are acceptable... do you have a minimum star rating in mind? What perks from a Disney hotel is it that you're looking for? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

    4* Bonnet Creek $166/night

And by official Disney hotel, I mean one of the ones you can book on their website (and not Disney Springs official hotel).
  12. I'm currently seeing rates at the Doubletree at $185/nite for your dates and a PRICELINE EXPRESS offer that i believe to be the Doubletree at $145/nite (less the BB 5% off Priceline Coupon): 3* Carson - Compton - Gardena (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $146/nite with: Pets Allowed Free Parking Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Internet in room Fitness Center ==> best guess for this property would be the Doubletree Carson If you still do a lot of bidding on priceline and at times have trouble locating the bidding page (as they are constantly moving/hiding it) be aware that we have set up the following page which you can bookmark for easy access: BiddingForHotelRooms.com. However, if you're trying to specifically target the Doubletree for this trip bidding is probably not recommended as there is no way to target (or avoid) a specific property when bidding on PRICELINE... a PRICELINE EXPRESS offer where you have a reasonable guess that it's the hotel you're hoping for would be a better option. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know whatever you decide to do for this trip. PS- it would also be appreciated if you closed your previous threads: SeaTac Priceline Bidding and New York City Priceline hotel threads with whatever you ended up doing for each of those trips. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans.
  13. Glad to see you ultimately found something that works for your needs this trip. ... and thank you for the compliments on the BiddingHelper.com tool, we appreciate it. Have a great trip and thank you for closing this thread with your decision.

    4* Bonnet Creek $166/night

Thanks for the response. We are looking for an official Disney hotel for two nights 5/19-5/21 with a budget of $200 or less - so far no luck.

    4* Bonnet Creek $166/night

For this Priceline Express offer: 4* Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $166/nite with: Business Center Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center ==> the Hilton Orlando-Bonnet Creek Resort would be my best guess for this one. I believe i just saw an email the other day that this Hilton is now an 'Official Disney Hotel' so it's possible that the resort fee has also increased now that there are more perks included. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. PS- when you have a minute can you please also conclude your previous Priceline Diseny Spring hotel thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip. Thanks.
  16. Congratulations on your success! Nice to see this hotel (with better reviews) re-appeared and you were able to grab it while it was offered... a nice deal! Thank you for using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase and sharing your win, helping us update the San Francisco Hotwire Hotel List with the new amenity set for this property. Enjoy your weekend in San Francisco.
  17. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received a nice deal at this property and that it will work well for your plans. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay.
  18. Yes, I am looking to get into the DoubleTree Carson, if possible. Current rates are between $155 to $185. Hoping for 40-50% of that. Thank you very much
  19. Good Morning, I ended up booking a Springhill Suites by Marriott right through the Marriott website. With so many hotels that have expensive resort fees and not know which hotel I might end up with, I opted to not use the Express deal this time around. What might seem like a good price for a hotel can quickly change once I get stuck with a $30 resort fee/night and $15/ night parking. I appreciate your help again. I'll reach out next time I'm going somewhere. P.S. I did use the bidding helper tool quite a bit and that is a great tool! Nice job to the developers who came up with that!
  20. Not sure what this resort could be as none of the hotels on the "PRICELINE HOTEL LIST" show a resort fee of $40/night... Amenities: Swimming Pool, Fitness Center, Business Center Any ideas?
  21. Thanks AaronJB I decided to go with $130 4* Union Square West that appeared when I went back. Resort fee was less so for an extra $10 a night I decided to go that path as it had a better tripadviosr rating to the east 3.5* Ended up getting The Clift Royal Sonesta Hotel. Happy with the purchase - I found it for $210 so $80 savings - great value. Thanks again for the advice and I used the betterbidding HOTWIRE link to purchase. Cheers!
  22. Ended up booking through priceline. Changed the dates to 4/4- 4/7. We "won" the SpringHill Suites Orlando Convention Center/International Drive for $93.00/ night. Applied the 5% Priceline Coupon and ended up paying $338.xx. 3* PRICELINE Intl. Drive - Pointe Orlando Area 8+ Guest Rating Free Breakfast Free Internet (in Room) Free Parking Outdoor Pool Non-Smoking Gym Handicap Accessible Business Center
  23. Twinscandc, Welcome to Betterbidding. 😀 Rates and inventory can vary significantly depending on dates. Please let us know your dates of travel and desired budget per night and we would be happy to offer suggestions on how to proceed. Do note that PRICELINE bidding only guarantees 1 bed/double occupancy. PRICELINE EXPRESS (where you can look for listings with a bed choice option) or HOTWIRE (where you can indicate the amount of people in the party) are a good option if there are more than 2 people. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

  25. Hello, Long time listener, first time caller 😉 - I am new to this site so I am not sure if this is the right place to ask my question. So Mr. Administrator, if I'm not in the right place, can you give me some direction :). My question(s) are: Did you bid multiple times? Did you start at a lower price and then added areas, increase price, etc? I am looking to book a room in the downtown Charleston area for late May as a College graduation trip for my twin daughters. I've used Priceline - Name your own price in the past, but it's been several years. I need a place to start! I've stayed at the Restoration for a wedding before and it's a BEAUTIFUL hotel, I'd love to stay again but maybe get a deal similar to yours!! Help!!
  26. Do you mean this one: 3.5* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $82.73 Free Parking Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Tennis Kitchenette ==> from the Orlando Hotwire Hotel List this does match previous reports for the Towneplace Suites Orlando @ Flamingo Crossings West Entrance and that would continue to be our best guess for this one Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes.

    Number of guests?

Keep in mind that most NYC hotels are going to charge more for more than double occupancy (especially if all guests are adults) and/or rooms with 2 beds. As in the example above, the price for 2 guests isn't that bad for this time of year, it's when increasing the occupancy that the prices go beyond what you're hoping to spend. I assume all guests are adults (and none are on the cusp that could still be considered a child/teenager)? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
