  2. Congratulations on your success. Although the price had gone up, glad to see you're pleased with the deal and outcome. Our BiddingHelper.com EASY VIEW can usually indicate which one it is. In the future you could see which ones are suggested by HOTWIRE and then compare to one chosen by BiddingHelper (and the Bidding Helper has tabs to both the 'regular' Hotwire page and the EASY VIEW, so can do all of the above all on the same page and with just one search). If you have any suggestions on how to streamline this process even further please let us know (you can send me a PM) and we will see what we can do about implementing. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Have a great trip!
  3. I waited and the $159 offer was $203. I still thought it was good price. I was awarded the HIlton Beachside. Note that the Hyatt's pool may be out of service at the moment due to a remodel. Worth checking if anyone is bidding in Santa Barbara soon. The additional resort fee was disclosed by Hotwire before I purchased. The parking wasn't but I had looked that up on each potential property. Since it was a few days later, here were the specs right before I ordered: Preview: Hotwire 4-star Hotel Santa Barbara Beach Area 4.0/5 Very Good 2,050 Expedia Reviews Bed Choice When clicking the preview, I was told this would be either Hilton Santa Barbara Beach, Blue Sands Motel, Hyatt Centric Santa Barbara When opening the offer before booking: Amenities: Airport Shuttle, Business Center, Fitness Center, Internet Access, near beach, pet friendly, Pool (s) Restaurant (s) Smoke-free rooms. Guest ratings: Overall satisfaction 4 Condition of hotel 3.9 Quality of service: 4.1 Room comfort 4.1 Room cleanliness 4.1 Ratings powered by Expedia.
  4. Good thoughts. NYOP was a great gig while it lasted. Priceline and Hotwire both need to have some decent savings to make it worth not doing a cancellable reservation somewhere else. Regarding your thought about using the phone as a baseline: I was working on a Hotwire purchase on and off, the last couple of days. I was waiting for an appointment and decided to bring Hotwire up on my phone, with data. And it was different. Most importantly, it told me the Mystery Deal was one of TWO not of THREE hotels, and it showed them to me. These bids were otherwise exactly the same except the method of opening Hotwire. I don't know if the Hotwire phone app would be yet somehow different again.
  5. Plebian, I have personally not made a purchase on the mobile app for NYOP, but the fact the mobile site constrains your bids to a predetermined range says to me the NYOP mobile *might* be of use to establish floor values when comparing to other offers (PL, HW, etc.). Will try out the PRICELINE EXPRESS or the HOTWIRE links as posted on this web site. Hopefully, there is a links still available. I tried links from my old wins to access the tried and true NYOP site to no avail. And will look more closely at our admin's advice in the apparent lack of true NYOP which now puts PL into the tub of all other travel vendors trying to make a distinction without a true difference: Admin's advice: "If your stay is for 2+ nites and for 3 stars or more, our Priceline Coupon makes their Express deals competitive with NYOP, but for one nite stays (or those 2.5 stars or less) it will be a little more than what used to be available by bidding."
  6. Yes, thank you for closing this thread with your decision. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans.

  8. We always use the amenities from our BiddingHelper.com tool as they are designed to work with our systems. Even though the hotel was as we predicted, glad to hear the refund went smoothly... if you need help with a replacement property feel free to start a NEW TOPIC. 2x
  9. Congratulations on your success... your first win! Great to see you received the hotel you wanted and are looking forward to your trip. If you've never stayed at the Palazzo before it's a treat,5 star and first class all the way. Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Have a great trip... and good luck in Vegas!
  10. If you read a few posts above, PRICELINE has reconfigured their page once again, we are looking to see if any viable options, but will take at least a few days of research/testing. You can subscribe to this thread (button on top right of page) as we will post a reply here if/when we are able to get it working again. I will add, as i did above, that recently bidding has only been beneficial for one nite stays and/or 2.5 star and below... for stays of 2+ nites and 3+ stars, our Priceline Coupon can bring the costs very close to the 'right' price when bidding (and gives you the added benefit of knowing some details about the hotel and/or figuring out the name beforehand). Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  11. Thanks - booked (though your HOTWIRE link) and was indeed the Palazzo 😁 Very happy with that
  12. Free Internet Available Free Parking Outdoor Swimming Pool No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Beachfront Free Internet Access Swimming Pool KIDS STAY FREE ALL children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing beds ***********Win was credited because this hotel was falsely advertised as Beachfront.
  13. I went to www.biddingforhotelrooms.com put in Seattle, WA and my dates and it brings me to the regular Priceline website. Am I doing something wrong (ad blocks are turned off), in the wrong spot, or something else? Thanks,
  14. Thanks for your reply! Not sure why the amenities keep changing for this 4* Priceline Providenciales March 17-23rd at $361 nightly. I see the amenities that you listed but I also have it listed with the below- Free Internet Available Free Parking Outdoor Swimming Pool No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Beachfront Free Internet Access Swimming Pool KIDS STAY FREE ALL children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing beds It gave me 3 hotels and said it would be either- Villa del Mar Wymara Oasis In any case, I called Villa del Mar and Oasis and they both said that they ARE NOT Beachfront. I bought the trip and won the Villa Del Mar. Since it was improperly advertised, they canceled my trip and I was penalized. However- It is still listed as Beachfront. Beware 🙂
  15. Please follow-up your previous Priceline Walt Disney hotel thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip. Best guess for this offer: 4* Providenciales (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $361/nite with: Free Parking No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Villa del Mar Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  16. We have updated our code, thank you for helping us discover (and fix) this issue, this HOTWIRE will no longer be associated with the Riviera. What is it exactly that you are looking for in a hotel for this trip, i gather you're seeking something that is on-site, but are you necessarily looking at the 3 star rated hotels only... what is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes) for this stay for an on-site property? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  17. Here are the amenities showing... Free Parking spoolout non smoking bchfront Internet swimming Pool Any ideas??
  18. Pretty sure this is NOT Riviera, we will make a change/update later today to make sure doesn't give this hotel as a match, and I should be able to find correct hotel in a few hours.
  19. So actually when I look at it on my desktop, it lists “standard room” but when i click details, that’s when it says “2 full beds. Bed type is guaranteed” Also noticed there are 2,486 Expedia reviews if that helps.
  20. Welcome to BetterBidding! Sorry to hear you didn't receive the hotel you were expecting, hopefully this will work out just as well for your needs. In the future feel free to ask the board for help before your purchase and we can usually figure out which one you may receive, or you can also use our BiddingHelper.com tool in order to research/identify hotels. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Enjoy your stay.
  21. Hotel choices were the Waldorf Hilton, the Savoy, and the Mayfair. Bed choices included "Queen and Double" which only the Savoy offered, so I was really thinking I would get the Savoy. Now I'm wondering what kind of beds we will have.
  22. Welcome to BetterBidding... and thanks for the compliments on the site! For this one: 5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Grand Canal Shoppes for $119 Free parking Free internet Suite Resort Casino Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center ==> Palazzo would indeed be the best guess Consistent with RevealHotels.com findings. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. If you do change the dates feel free to re-confirm since even changing the dates by one nite can effect the hotel being offered)
  23. Ok, thank you! It’s showing “2 full beds”.
  24. Last week
  25. Welcome to BetterBidding! With the Riviera being a brand new hotel, please hold off on this one and i'll have time later tonite to investigate further in order to confirm. To confirm, is the room type showing '2 full beds' or 'standard room'? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Thanks.
  26. Im trying to uncover a hotel on Hotwire. Im doing something wrong. As I dont get the full list of amenities I go to bidding helper and select easy But all I see is Center Strip - Grand Canal Shoppes Amenities Include: Free parking, Free internet, Suite, Resort, Casino, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center and more... (95% recommended) I cant figure out how to get the full list as on many on these forum posts. It looks pretty certain that it is Palazzo or Venetian (free parking,) but I am hoping to confirm dates tomorrow and so wanted to be a little more sure in case the lists change tomorrow. Reveal Hotels also says Palzzo but I dont see any confidence percentage. Can you give me some pointers please. Graet site btw guys - Im in the UK and been looking at this on and off for a couple of years - maybe this time I can actually use it!
  27. June 6-9 2020 3* 4.0/5 Expedia rating $115 (regular $238*) Complimentary Free internet Amenities Airport shuttleGolf nearbyPool(s)ResortRestaurant(s) Accessibility Accessible for visually impairedAccessible for hearing impaired Hotel chooses bed for $115/night 2 full beds for $116/night The hotel reveal tool said that it’s Disney Riviera with good confidence. Any idea why it thinks it would be Riviera and not a Disney value resort? Seems like a really good price for Riviera.
