  2. You're welcome! Hope you find RevealHotels.com as useful as all of our other tools and features.
  3. Sounds good, but as i mentioned, i can't vouch for it anymore since they have moved... maybe you'll give me the updated review. No matter if the pizza is better, worse, or unchanged... i'm sure you'll have a great trip!
  4. Last week
  5. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received a great deal for this stay... a substantial upgrade to the hotels you were originally considering for not really much more in price. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay.
  6. I tried today and I book the Hyatt Regency!! A great Offer Thanks again!! 🙂
  7. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and that you're happy with the results! (and that you were able to use the new Hotwire Coupon ) As you're heading back from the city one nite, if you're looking for a late nite 'snack' stay on the N or W train to the Broadway stop (don't confuse with Manhattan's Broadway, this is in Astoria/Queens) this place has one of the best square slices around (other pizza/food there is 'ok', but the square slices are what shine... and if you're just ordering slices you need to sit at the 'pizzeria area' on the left rather than the 'restaurant' area on the right: Sac's Place 3511 35th Ave (or you could make it an expensive lunch by ordering a whole square pie OR pair with some salads/appetizers/entrees for a casual dinner) EDIT TO ADD: i just learned that they closed this location and moved to 'Kaufman Astoria Studios'... but i can't vouch if things are the same at the new location, apparently no slices at the new location (for the time being) and they have left their coal over at the old location, so tough call to make... i'll have to try to do some 'research' next time i'm out that way Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay.
  8. got it: Wyndham, we used the link provided and the promo code of 5% Thanks for your help!
  9. Correct, which is why i tried to clarify before proceeding. So you have the Villa Florence Hotel Hotel option above thru HOTWIRE, or you have this option from PRICELINE EXPRESS: 4* Union Square West (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $249/nite with: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas ==> Hotel Adagio is our guess for this one. NOTE that all priceline reservations are for double occupancy, this this offer provides a 'Bed Choice' of 2 Queen Beds. Although technically your room is still booked for double occupancy, i don't know of anyone who has yet had an issue showing up with a 3rd/4th guests when a specific room type was booked and that room is designed to accommodate the number of guests in the group. Also, as priceline doesn't indicate that this property has a resort fee (whereas the HOTWIRE above does) the price difference between the two is not as much as it may appear at first glance. Thoughts on either of these? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  10. Thank you very much for your reply. Two rooms would be ideal indeed. I do not think that there are that many hotels that offer rooms for more than 5 people.
  11. Welcome to BetterBidding! Are you searching for 2 rooms? (as HOTWIRE only allows you to search for up to quad occupancy per room) If not, are you just hoping for the best that the room will be able to accommodate 5 guests? Let us know the above and we'll move forward from there, as our suggestions will differ based upon the number of rooms/guests that you're looking for in order to accommodate 5 people. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. PS- to answer your question regarding the hotel above: 4* HOTWIRE Union Square East for $203 Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ==> Villa Florence Hotel Hotel is the best guess for this one
  12. Hello Looking for Hotwire chances for 8 - 12 July 2020 for 4 adults and 1 child (13). Saw this hot deal: 4* Union Square East Area 8-12 July 2020 $203 Got any better deals? For us the whole union square area is good, also pacific heights and financial district (you can imagine our acceptable perimeter from union square) We're all new to Hotwire and we're from Europe so it's all a bit confusing for us. Hope you can help! Thanks! 🙂
  13. New hotels can/are added all the time, some hotels are removed, as well as the star rating of exiting hotels being upgraded/downgraded. As well, remember that when bidding on Priceline the star rating you choose is the minimum that you're willing to accept, so an upgrade to a higher rated hotel is also always a possibility as well. However, if you're not yet ready to commit at this point in time i wouldn't get too wrapped up in trying to figure out the results based upon what is showing today, as a LOT can potentially happen/change between now and when you're plans are firm. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know if/when your plans are firm and you're ready to move forward.
  14. For 3.5 stars I see 3 hotels on your list: Aloft, Vetiver and Wyndham. The last two you mention earlier, and Aloft probably will not be won!
  15. Welcome (officially) to BetterBidding! Glad to see you scored a nice deal at the hotel you were hoping for and that you find the board information helpful. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding. Have a great stay!
  16. Used the PRICELINE link for bidding. You guys never steer me wrong! Confirming a win at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. Thank you for the help! Amenities: Free Internet Access Restaurant Outdoor swimming pool Swimming Pool
  17. Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you got two nice deals for each leg of this trip and that you're all set and looking forward to your family vacation. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Have a great trip!
  18. I went ahead and booked 4* HOTWIRE Westminster Bridge - London Eye - Vauxhall for $126 Free Internet Business center Fitness center Indoor pool(s) Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms Spa services ==> revealed as Park Plaza London Waterloo This was more expensive than the Novotel London Waterloo but this hotel does seem nicer. Thanks for your help.
  19. Congratulations on your success... a very nice rate for NYC at any time of year! An excellent example of how rates can differ greatly, even from one day to the next, as this Sunday of a holiday weekend is inexpensive even though it is during peak season... try a midweek nite just a week later and i'm sure you'll see rates spike substantially higher. Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay.
  20. Free internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access. Total price after taxes $134.80. Very happy with this win
  21. I am able to get the details of this one now: 3.5* Downtown Detroit (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $106/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas ==> Detroit Marriott At The Renaissance Center or the Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Downtown would be my best guesses for this one. Given this property does not offer a pool, which the Courtyard has but the Renaissance does not, i would favor this one more likely being the Renaissance, but you should at least be prepared for either (although the Courtyard seems less likely than the Renaissance, imo) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
  22. Hello and thanks for your reply. I continue to have no issues clicking through to booking on this hotel. I have done this on 2 computers...both macs. an I mac, and a macbook pro. Both computers are using the current version of Google Chrome. I just tried with Safari as well, and was again able to click all the way through to booking. Thank you for your info on the possible motor city casino...I'm booking this for my wife and friends, and they are not interested in a casino atmosphere for their visit if possible. One of her friends got a rack rate quote from Crowne plaza for around 650 for one room, 2 queens. At that point I said "I think I can do better". When I noticed the $106 for a 3.5*, I figured I could get the ladies two rooms for less than what Crowne plaza quoted them for one. A couple of other tidbits that may help here...when I've loaded the booking page, priceline has had a message that said "Someone else just booked this room for $299" and this morning I saw the same blurb but this time it said $294 Also...I just noticed this (not an amenity, but a policy that may help ID) It says Kids stay free, but the specifically states, "1 child under 18 years stays free of charge when using existing beds" ... I noticed that a number of other hotels had kid policies, but they didn't match the "1 child" clarification. In terms of "something in particular" I usually try for 3.5* or better, boutique if possible but not required. Wife and friends are late 50s early 60s...not looking to paint the town or be in a party hotel. Thanks again for your assistance.
  23. True for the most part, although in NYC you want to try to go a little higher in star rating if you can (unless you're able to determine the likely hotel and you 'know' that it's a good one)... especially if you intend to BID for a hotel room since you then have no control/guess over the hotel within the zone that you may receive. Most NYC hotel rooms are small, but at the lower rating they tend to get even tinier, and at the non-chain hotels housekeeping and general upkeep can often be less than stellar. (i've stayed It depends how you define the 'best option'... it may be the most economical; but it's not going to be the most convenient. Here are some decent options and you can try to determine which you think would be 'best' based upon your needs/budget (of course you can feel free to ask questions about any of them and we will do our best to comment/advise accordingly): 3* HOTWIRE Red Hook - Brooklyn South for $112 Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Smoke Free Fitness Business ==> Days Inn by Wyndham Brooklyn Boro Park ... not my first choice as i don't think it will give you an 'city feel', but i included as it's the least expensive option (and you can also get a feel for what would be available at a lower price vs. if i didn't include this hotel). I don't know much about this area, but it's close to a subway station, although the commute to Times Square/Midtown would be about 55 minutes (that's a bit far to be considered convenient, imo... imagine staying by O'Hare and using the blue line to commute to Downtown). 4* HOTWIRE Long Island City for $168 Free Internet Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Business ==> The Paper Factory ... a short walk to a subway line that will have you into Midtown in about 20 minutes. Hotels gets good decent reviews.... but note that there is also a $23/nite resort fee at this hotel 4.5* HOTWIRE Long Island City for $184 Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Business ==> Boro Hotel ... also close to a subway and about 20 minutes to midtown. This one has the best reviews out of any of the above, here there is a $19/nite resort fee so about a $12 difference between this one and the one above; you'll have to decide if that is money well spent or not in exchange for the higher star rating and better reviews. From PRICELINE EXPRESS... 3.5* Long Island City (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $170/nite with: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Free Internet in room Fitness Center ==> Wyndham Garden Long Island City .... no reported resort fee here so a little more affordable than the last two above, similar in terms of convenience Unfortunately anything in Manhattan that gets a better than 65% recommendation from previous guests is looking to be in the mid-$200's. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Let us know your thoughts/questions and we'll take it from there.
  24. Congratulations on your success! Nice to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and this one will work well for your plans... and no major upcharge for having a child in the room with you. Thank you for sharing your win with the board and we're glad we were able to help. Please remember to click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy this leg of your family vacation.
