  4. This rate was for two queen beds; one bed would have been $76. Amenities = Free internet, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access. Used the BB HOTWIRE link, of course.

  11. At current prices it looks like $300 all-in is going to be a bit of a stretch for a 4 star hotel... On HOTWIRE i'm seeing: 4* HOTWIRE Long Island City for $160.00 Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business ==> best guess for this one would be the Ravel Hotel you're looking for, but it's over budget If you're not flexible on budget how about: 3.5* HOTWIRE Long Island City for $128.00 Free Internet Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Room Accessible ==> best guess for this one would be the Manhattan View to Wyndham Garden Long Island City In this area i'm also seeing on PRICELINE EXPRESS: 3.5* Long Island City (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $140/nite with: Pets Allowed Airport Shuttle Free Internet available Free Internet ==> Hotel Vetiver, in case you want another option, although this too is a little over your budget on an all-in basis And also over your budget (but another option at the 4 star level): 4* Long Island City (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $159/nite with: Pets Allowed Restaurant Airport Shuttle Free Internet available Free Internet ==> Z NYC Hotel is my guess here Lastly, what direction are you coming in from and how are you traveling into the city (car, bus, train, plane, etc... if flying, which airport); would staying in Jersey City be an option as there is an excellent deal there (under $100/nite for 4 star hotel) which is near a PATH train which you could use to commute into the Manhattan. 12. I apologize, I missed the question at the end. 4 Star in LIC. I have booked it before and got the Ravel and it appears to still be the Ravel although I'd be happy with any of the 4 stars within the footprint. I would love to stay there again with my teenage son. Basically my ideal is to stay at the Ravel for $300 or less for 2 nights (September 11 & 12) but will end up staying the nicest place in the area that we can afford if it isn't doable.

  17. Unfortunately there is no way to know if rates will drop or move even higher (and a third option, often not considered, is that maybe this hotel disappears entirely!) Your trip is during the start of peak season in NYC so the price is certainly reasonable (and i'd go as far to say the price is 'pretty good'), but based upon the criteria you laid out above and your other comments in this thread, i'm guessing that while price is important, it's even more important that it's a nice hotel... i think the bigger risk would be this property disappearing and nothing else that is as well reviewed being offered for a similar price. Given it meets every criteria you have i would lean towards booking sooner rather than later. Could the price go down $10-$20/nite, sure... but i could also see it increasing by $50-$60/nite (and i would think it very unlikely dropping $50-$60/nite) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. 18. Thanks. I agree the crowne plaza meets my criteria. Based on your experience and knowledge, do you feel like this is a fair price for this resort? Do you feel that prices will drop any further or this is a good Time to book.

  20. The above are from PRICELINE EXPRESS... if you click the links provided above you'll see any bed type options that are offered. I also checked HOTWIRE but nothing there met your criteria; there was a Wall St-Downtown hotel for about $135/nite (research indicated it was the Club Quarters Hotel or the World Center Hotel, i forget which, but they are basically sister properties in the same hotel) which i thought was interesting for the price, but i didn't pursue it any further since it doesn't meet most of your criteria (i only found it interesting because of the price). There is also the Westin Times Square for about the same price as the Crowne Plaza HY36, but the Crowne Plaza is a much better option in multiple respects (location, reviews, newer hotel, etc). Since i believe the Crowne Plaza meets each of the criteria you wanted, how about a different approach.... why not the Crowne Plaza? What is 'missing' from this hotel that you are looking for that has you looking further? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
  21. Thanks just looking up those options. Is there anything similar available as a Priceline express at the moment? Also is there a bed choice available with these options? Thx
  22. How about: 4.5* Rockefeller Center - Bryant Park (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $205/nite with: Pets Allowed Restaurant Free Internet available Free Internet Fitness Center ==> best guess would be the Omni Berkshire 4.5* Madison Square Garden - Convention Area (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $217/nite with: Pets Allowed Restaurant Free Internet available Free Internet Fitness Center ==> Crowne Plaza HY36 Midtown Manhattan... fairly new hotel with great reviews and centrally located; i think this one hits all of your touch points above Either of these works for your needs? 26. Hello, I would like assistance with a booking for NYC, September 27 - 30. 2 adults. prefer 2 beds, but can live with 1. Looking to stay close to 5th ave or even Chelsea / meatpacking district. Would like to stay around $200 - $230 per night. Can stretch to $250 if something is really a good value / deal. For us, priority is over 90% recommended on tripadvisor plus 90% recommended positive hotwire reviews. I am also looking at pricline express / bid deals so should I post a similar thread there? thanks for the help!!
