  2. Cost was $185/night with $81.98 taxes and fees. A $18.50 credit. So $433.48 and hotel fees will be 102.04. Purchased on March 5, 2019, 196 days in advance. Hotel is still at $254/nt.
  3. Best guess for the hotel in the link above is the Palazzo... although interesting that when i search i'm shown the Venetian. I'm guessing the price difference between the two rooms is one is 'standard' and the other may be a 'Strip View'... i'm fairly confident it's not a room on the Prestige Level. I've stayed at the Venetian/Palazzo many times and, imo, the cost of a strip upgrade is not worth it, imo, as you will spend more time outside of the hotel room in Las Vegas than you will inside the room staring out the window (and looking at the mountains and/or planes flying in/out of the airport is decent enough). However, if you decided that you do think it's worth the extra cost, the only problem is that the differentiation of view/no view is my guess and the room is not marked as such, so if you did receive a room that did not have a strip view there would be little recourse. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know what you decide and how it goes or how we can be of further help.
  4. Please keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread. Once you win a hotel, use the 'ADD REPLY and REPORT WIN' button on the upper right corner of the page to edit the topic title to reflect your win and to provide the details of your purchase. This helps keep the board better organized by reducing the number of unresolved threads that don't have any follow-up or conclusion. Also, please include the AMENITIES that are associated with the property to avoid any confusion (since i see THREE 5 star hotels for these dates priced at $132, $134, and $136/nite... can easily be mixed up) When i click the offer i believe you're referring to i can make it to the next page, but when i click BOOK (to get to the page with the Bed Choices) i get a message at the top of the page: 'You just missed it. That room sold out. Check out these similar deals below.' Are you still able to get to the booking page that includes ROOM choices? You previously mentioned you're looking for the Veneitan or Palazzo... are both equally acceptable? (or do you prefer one over the other) What is your maximum budget? (per nite before fees/taxes) Are you ready to book now? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

Looking at dates 8/15/2019-8/19/2019
  6. Welcome to BetterBidding! Two quick notes: 1) please use the US date format... so i assume your dates are OCTOBER 10 - OCTOBER 12? 2) most important information besides the star rating, zone and price is the amenities that PRICELINE EXPRESS associates with the property I believe this is the one you're referencing: 5* The Strip - Southwest (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $109/nite with: Pets Allowed Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center ==> Delano Las Vegas At Mandalay Bay would be my best guess for this one Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or how we can be of further help.

  8. Beatrix (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g35805-d4481315-Reviews-Beatrix-Chicago_Illinois.html) is a very nice restaurant option for breakfast nearby. Will also recommend Siena Tavern (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g35805-d3879063-Reviews-Siena_Tavern-Chicago_Illinois.html) and you're also not far from Xoco (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g35805-d1533276-Reviews-Xoco-Chicago_Illinois.html.) As for pizza, the Lou Malnati's River North location isn't far (https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g35805-d427793-Reviews-Lou_Malnati_s_Pizzeria-Chicago_Illinois.html.) Let me know if you have any city questions. 10. So i do see the $261/nite hotel now when searching for 3rooms/6adults/0children, but i has a different amenity set than what you included in your original post, i'm seeing the following: 4* HOTWIRE Edinburgh Old Town - High Street for $261.00 Free Internet Boutique Smoke Free Restaurant Golf ==> best guess for this one would be the Ten Hill Place... are you seeing this amenity set now or still something different? Currently there are no Hotwire coupons available (anything offered would be in our Hotwire Coupon page) If somebody other than yourself will be making the actual purchase, please ask them to stop by the board and click our HOTWIRE link to begin their purchase(s)... they can simply use the BiddingHelper.com (where the EASY VIEW tab and 'FIND MATCH in HOTEL LIST' will make it easier for them to locate/purchase the same hotel you're referring to) or they can simply click the HOTWIRE logo inside the QUICK QUOTE box at the top of the page. Any questions feel free to ask. Good luck and let us know how it goes. EDIT TO ADD: looks like in your original post maybe you copied the amenity set from the 4 star $210/nite hotel in this zone??

  12. Are you searching for something other than the default 1room/2adults/0children (and confirm that your dates are Aug 9-11), as i'm not seeing any 4 star hotel offered in this zone priced at (or within a few dollars of) $261/nite... nor with the amenity set above. I do see a hotel that biddingh.helper identifies as the Ten hill Place, BW Premier Collection, but it has a different amenity set than what you have listed above. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.

  14. Congratulations on your success! Great to see you received the hotel you were hoping for and are happy with the outcome. No resort fee is a BIG bonus now that more and more city hotels are beginning to charge them. Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay.

  21. Yes, this is the first leg of the journey. Got too many moving parts still to cover the remaining legs. Once I have more clarity, I'll cancel my conventional bookings and keep you updated on well I play the game.
  22. Congratulations on your success! An excellent deal! Hope you're happy with the results and looking forward to your return visit to NYC. Thank you for sharing your win and using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy (this leg of?) your stay.
  23. Saw a match for this hotel on Priceline Express for $92/night, and a match for $95/night on Hotwire. Using the PRICELINE links from this website, I was taken to the NYOP page, and decided to see how low I could go since I had a floor price. Started the bidding at $80, and was countered at $101. Using my rebid zones, I raised my bid by $3 until I was hit at $89. Including taxes and $10 travel insurance, the total amount charged for 2 nights is $227.08. The Westin's website offered a prepaid room for the same dates for $449.55, so there was a savings of 49.5%.
  24. PATH train runs 24/7 so missing the last train isn't an issue, but is a bit inconvenient if flying into LGA (as you need to cross two rivers and get to the other side of Manhattan)... it's a more viable option if flying into Newark (EWR) or if arriving into Manhattan via train/bus.
