As reported before. Thanks! Used several free rebids to try to get the absolutely lowest price for this hotel. Even tried $34 for fun and failed!!

Failed to get a 2* for 35 in any zone. Maybe wishful thinking.

Maybe this has been discussed before but I searched and could not find anything. I noticed today that hotwire has a reference number for hotels which it places directly behind the amenities section but it is invisible unless you highlight the listing. (by dragging your mouse over it) Perhaps this would be something people should place in their Hotwire wins, it would make them much easier to track...if the numbers are constant (ie stay with the hotel over multiple days etc.)??? Worked for cars as well, it is just beneath the picture of the car and some writing. (edit by thereuare: merged with existing thread)

I think you are correct about the Extended Stay America, there is one in the very northern part of the LAX zone. No airport shuttle etc. Not what I'm looking for (for a variety of reasons) so this hotel will probably stay incognito.

I hoped to get a little help IDing a hotwire hotel. It is in the LA Intl Airport LAX (West Los Angeles), $33 per night, amenities are just kitchenette and self service laundry. I really have no clue what this is...seems way too cheap to be a Marriott Residence Inn? Thanks in advance. Art Van Delay

$35 *3 Downtown/DTW/Taylor countered with $44...started over. Moved to 2.5* DTW - $29, rejected (hoping for HGI as others have gotten @28) Added Taylor - $33 - Got Courtyard by Marriott And I think this may be a new one for the hotel list. :) artvandelay

I was looking downtown for the same weekend and could not get anything at a reasonable price. We are planning on taking the El into town from O'hare, supposedly a 15 min ride, 24/7 including holidays, and the hotel we got is just a few blocks from the El stop...even if it wasn't we thought we'd take a cab to the stop then take the train...cheaper than cabbing it all the way downtown. I had previous attempted PL for 1* in downtown (loop, nma, rn..I think) 5/26-5/29 for $40 and did not get any takers. Good luck.

Really wanted to be downtown this weekend but could not find anything under about $120...poor college student can not afford that! O'Hare 4*, $41. Not successful. PL offered to let me rebid w/out adding zones or other star levels if I would increase to $53. Did not do it. Started over O'Hare and Skokie 4* $47 successful. Hyatt Regency O'Hare. $115 on their website. Best Hotwire O'hare 4* $75. Also wanted to let people know the Wydham Garden hotel in Schaumburg is at $37 per night on their website for these nights. www.wyndham.com
