No I'm not. I was driving down the road and had my wife book it for me while she was at home. I went with south on the subject line, because that is what was in the address for the hotel on Hotire.

When we got to the front desk, we asked if they might have any rooms with king sized beds available. The girl at the counter told us that they were givig us a free upgrade to a room with two queen beds; that was 220 square feet larger than the room that we had bid on. This room was larger than my first appartment.

2 Rooms 2 Nights @ $74.00 Betsy Ross Hotel 1440 Ocean Dr Miami Beach, Florida 33139 (305) 531-3934 Amenities:(only one listed on Hotire, but more were available) Near Beach Property is located within easy walking distance of a beach. Also, WiFi is in the lobby and we got two rooms. The 2nd room was on the 6th floor and my buddy was able to hit the Palm's hotel WiFi to the north of this location. Continental breakfast was available in the lobby. Hotel has a Pool. Workout facilities are labeled in the elevator, but were not functional during our visit. This hotel is very dated and does not offer any major thrills, rooms are very old. There is a $25.00 parking charge for Valet (only parking available). After reading of some of the horror stories of other hotels in the area and the hidden charge, this one was nice to be very straight foward. Not extra fees here, beyond the parking. Hotel is directly on the main strip and is in an excellent location!

This is a follow-up on a bid that I won: Hotel Bid I have stayed at nicer 3* hotels. Not to say this wasn't a nice hotel, just had a few things that kind of got to me. I'll start off on the negative personal things. My bathroom had a very bad mildew odor. I contacted the front desk and they informed me they would take care of it. Never saw any action. Also the bathtub and sink drained very slowly. Nothing like taking a shower in standing water or brushing your teeth with standing water. Ok, now to the hotel. Overlooking the problems with my room the hotel was a nice hotel. It was in a good location and the staff was very friendly. The only issue that I had with the staff was that the concierge, bellhop, and valet attendant were all the same person and there were usually never more than 2 on staff at a time. So, if you used the valet you could end up waiting a little while. There is free parking in the back and I advise you to use that. The hotel is very busy with a lot of business personal coming in and out. There is a bar right inside the front door that made is easy for eating and drinking. Great Sushi bar right next door and can be accessed through the hotel lobby. They pride their selves on what they call the Heaven experience. I didn't quite get it, but the bed was one of the more comfortable ones that I have slept in. The room was set up for both leisure and business use. They actually had a office recliner in front of the desk. I would probably stay here again, but would be more adamant on them taking care of the smell. I just had to keep the bathroom door closed and hurried my business in the bathroom.

I just bid 3 times with the following: All 7/20 - 7/22 for 1 room 1st Bid: Southfield 50 4 Star 2nd Bid: Added Downtown Detroit Increased bid to 55 4 Star 3rd Bid Added Taylor Southgate Increased bid to 60 4 Star There are no other areas without 4 star and I really wanted the one in Southfield. This is a business trip, so I'll probably go with the $93 on Hotwire.

Pretty much the same as above. The only complaints that I had: They taxed me for the parking garage on top of the $12.00 daily fee. You have to pay for high-speed internet at $9.99 a day. They have a business center for printing and any other paper needs that you may have. You have to pay to use as well, even though you've already paid in your room. 2 Beers, Hamburger, and a Quesadilla was $29.00 at the bar. I would hate to be there on a venue night, with the convention center attached to this building and two stadiums within one mile. This hotel meet all of my needs, and I would stay there again. Side note: If you have the time, go to the aquarium downtown and enjoy a fine meal. Pricy, but well worth the cost due to the view.

I'm heading up here in 2 weeks. I hope I can get a deal like this! Think I'll look on hotwire first, but I will keep this one in mind. Thanks!

The hotel was AWESOME! I used this for a business trip and really liked it. The location couldn't have been better. 3 major highways are within blocks, rooms were very nice, lots of locations near to eat.
