I used the Betterbidding HOTWIRE link and booked the Crowne Plaza, Virginia Beach, VA for $117 per night. Not exactly a steal but still saved 20% on the total cost and thanks to this website I knew exactly what I would be getting. Date of Stay: 5/24 - 5/27 (Memorial day weekend. 2* Harrisonburg. First bid of $45 accepted. It looks like I could have gone as low as $38 but I bid a little higher hoping to get the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriot. Got the Jameson Inn instead. Oh well. This looks like a nice enough property. Hotels.com price for the Fairfield was $129, this hotel was $90. Used the BB PRICELINE link.

Just wanted to provide a followup to this post. We had no issue staying here with our 2 children. The room was very nice and the kids were able to sleep on the pull out sofa no problem. Unfortunately the day we were there someone had broken glass in the pool and they were in the process of draining. Not much you can do about that. Thanks again thanks to BetterBidding.com for proving a great service for all of us bargain hunters!

Thanks Aaron. I did contact PRICELINE and they faxed a request to the hotel on my behalf. The rep at PRICELINE said that while they couldn't guarantee anything, the hotels are usually willing to consider the request if they able to. I'll try to post a follow-up after our stay.

Correction: Based on the room we were given, the current rate is $129. Unfortunately that room is showing a max of 3 guests (1 queen and 1 sofa bed). We have 2 adults and 2 children. PRICELINE doesn't seem to ask for this information prior to naming your own price. Hopefully we wont have any issues.

First wanted to thank you for such an awesome web site. Also wanted to share what I consider a killer win. Previous 2 bids starting at $39 for a 3 * was rejected. Finally won at $46.
