$36.00+12.62tax=$48.62total Bid $33 for 3* in Galleria. was counteroffered $41. Bid $33 for 3* in Perimeter. was counteroffered $45. Bid $33 for 3* in Buckhead. Not accepted. Bid $34 for 3* in Galleria/Perimeter. was counteroffered $41. Bid $35 for 3* in Perimeter/Buckhead. was counteroffered $45. Bid $36 for 3* in Perimeter/Buckhead/Galleria. Accepted with upgrade to 3.5* I used PRICELINE link to bid. I closed browser and restarted between each bid. Started low at $33 with $1 increments because I knew I had lots of rebid attempts for Atlanta. Bid $33 seperately for Galleria, Perimeter, and Buckhead to fish for counteroffers. Have gotten the Crowne Plaza many times on previous attempts. Mistakenly thought it was in the Perimeter zone which is why I went from Perimeter/Galleria to Perimeter/Buckhead and skipped Galleria/Buckhead attempt before going to Perimeter/Buckhead/Galleria. Looking back, I would have went Perimeter/Buckhead/Galleria after doing each seperately and used the five rebid zones for other rebids. (I hope I'm not confusing anyone.) I may have gotten the bid for $35, but why complain about a dollar. The Crowne Plaza has been an excellent hotel for my needs in the past. On I-285 allowing me easy access to Sandy Springs, Buckhead and Six Flags. Also close to I-75 which gets me downtown. McDonalds and Waffle House near for easy cheap breakfast or short trip on I-75 for meals at OK Cafe or Flying Biscuit, both Atlanta favorites. Rooms are roomy and clean. Join the frequent guest program for free wifi in room, otherwise it is free in the lobby. Indoor/outdoor pool (Although outdoor pool was dirty on this visit). Fitness room is small but adequate for me. I ask for extra coffee packets when I check in since they only provide one in room. Check-in has been quick and service has been friendly and efficient. Excellent value for $36!!!! I've gotten the hotel previously in the 30's and low 40's.
