  6. Weird. A 4* is now available to select on PL. I checked several times today & 4* was not available for South Beach. It is NOW!!
  7. I looked on PL today & South Beach does not have 4* listed?? One cannot select 4* South Beach. (at least for dates of 03 - 06 May). KK
  8. Finally.... Didnt want to risk splitting the bid. So, I've been bidding quite regularly on Priceline. They rejected bids of $99, $125, $130, $135 and $140....all with the option to "buy it now" for $163. A 5* on Hotwire (presumed to be the Venetian) has continuously been coming up at $161. So today, I bid $150 and it was accepted. I feel I did well as the Venetian's website rate is $199 for those dates & Hotwire is $161. We used our dividend miles for 2 free first class non-stop plane tickets, too! Our first trip to Vegas. Love this site............ KK
  9. Okay, thanks...i think i get it now! so, i should place a bid for 11/30 & 12/01 at a lower rate b/c they are weekdays ....and a separate bid for 12/02 & 12/03 at a higher rate b/c they are weekend days?
  10. Not sure if I am willing to Split the Bid. What are the chances that we will have to switch hotels? Isn't it pretty likely that we will get the Venetian? Can you expand on what your thoughts are about splitting the bid? I'm not sure if i totally understand. Thanks! kk
  11. Our first trip to Vegas! Would like to stay at a 5* for dates 11/30 - 12/04. I would appreciate any bidding advice you can offer! I tried PL for a 5* for $99, but was rejected. They told me I could get it for $168/night, but I'm holding out. I see Hotwire has a 5* for $166. Thoughts? KK

  14. I'm still interested in the identifications for the Times Square hotels, but I just booked the Inter-Continental The Barclay New York for $186 on HOTWIRE. Seems like a good location & good price for a 4.5* hotel! kk
  15. We booked the Wyndham thru HOTWIRE for a rate of $68. We enjoyed our stay very much. Room was very nice & the Wyndham is located in a great area within walking distance to other fancy hotels like the Four Seasons, Embassy Suites & Hotel Windsor. We paid $20 for a cab ride to the baseball game. kittykathy
  16. Please help identify these HOTWIRE hotels: Times Square 3.5* for 6/16 coming up $241. Amenities include Restaurant, Fitness, Internet & Business Center. Also a 3* coming up for $224 in Times Square. Amenities include Boutique, Restaurant, Fitness, Internet & Business Center. Thanks for your help!! I love this site!!! kk
  17. I bid $115 for a 4* in Downtown Philadelphia & did not get it. I saw a rate of $68 for 3.5* Center City West on HOTWIRE, which I believe to be the Wyndham...can you confirm that? Also, I saw a 4* for an Off-the-Record price of $107 in the "heart of the business district" on easyclicktravel.com. I tried the REVERSE look-up & this is an unknown URL for your site. Thanks! kk
  18. We got the Hyatt West Hollywood for $108 per night from HOTWIRE (5/12 - 5/16). We still need a room for 5/16 - 5/17. I just bid $110 for West Hollywood on Priceline and was rejected. We'll just get there and wing it! Thanks for all the help!
  19. We're stuck! We upped our PL bid to $101 & it didn't take it. HOTWIRE has the Hyatt at $227??
  20. thanks for your quick reply! we dont want to split our bid, but are willing to bid higher. i dont think $100 is unreasonable....thoughts?
  21. My friend & I have been bidding on Priceline for a 3* in West Hollywood for over a week with no luck. We really want the Hyatt West Hollywood. Trip dates 5/12 - 5/17. We've bid $60, 65, 70, 75, 76, 78, 80. My friend stayed there a few weeks ago with a winning PL bid of $76. What gives?? Any advice? Thanks!
