  1. Bid $188, HOTWIRE $199. Been trying for 3 weeks, no rooms released and over 130 bids, finally got it and saved $11/noc but for a sold out weekend, I'll take $22 savings. Used PRICELINE link. Wow, what a struggle but love saving any money:-)
  2. Booked, was going to just book thru HOTWIRE since I knew it was the Wyndham, but tried one more zone (10th) and increased my bid to $188.(increased by $1 /zone) and Got the Wyndham. Saved $11/ noc but $11 is enough for 2 cocktails:). Used PRICELINE link for bidding.
  3. Well, still nothing. I have a question, is it possible that they are not releasing any rooms. Hotwire 3.5 stars just went up from $197 to $199. Should I book. Will start a new thread if I do. Thanks
  4. Still trying, have gotten rejected on downtown bids starting at $150-170. Going to keep trying and if nothing is accepted will book thru hotwire (3.5* looks like wyndham) will keep updated and close upon win or decision.
  5. Hello, and thanks for any advice in advance. Use PRICELINE link for bidding. 11/17/12- 11/19/12 (sat/sun) Coming to Pittsburgh for Sunday night game, so I know prices are elevated. Looking to stay downtown (hotwire has 3.5 for $223/noc) So started with 4* at $100 adding 9 other areas to a has bid of $160. Got rejected on all. So, added 3.5 and bid $140 downtown, got rejected,. Question, should I continue on same game plan every day or do I bite the bullet and increase bids. I only want downtown, and with a 3.5 star I may get station square which I do not want( crossing river at 12 midnight after game) Plan on bidding tonight, that is again, Julie
  6. Hi, just wanted to let you know how the $20 tip worked at my stay at the Palazzo hotel over the weekend. I reserved 3 rooms thru hotwire for a Saturday/Sunday night. We were arrived at 10:30 in the morning so we Could get pool time and with the Saturday check in I didn't know if the $20 trick would work, but was definitely going to Give it a try. Since I had 3 rooms, I used a $50 and asked very nicely for an early check in and any possible upgrades. She was very Nice and the $50 disappeared quietly and quickly. She said, just trust me.. We received 3 strip views with a direct view of the TI show. I did ask for the Prestige level and got turned down on that. But for $17 a couple it was worth it. Hope this helps. :) :) Topic closed

  13. Hi, and thanks in advance. Always use priceline and hotwire thru here...best site out there. I have done my research and would like your opinion before I book on whether you believe this hotel is the Palazzo. Hotwire has it for $120/noc on 9/10-12, which would be an amazing deal. Las Vegas Strip-North area hotel(2.5-5.5 mi from LAS) Bed choice Resort Suite Casino Fitness center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business center High-speed internet Golf nearby Tennis nearby Spa services 95% recommendation hotwire customers Again, thanks in advance.
  14. Thankyou for the information. I really want to be within walking distance of House of Blues, so to assure that, I am willing to bid on 4* only in the Disneyland(Anaheim zone) and increase $. Priceline map, it looks like Hilton Suites are in the Disneyland Garden Grove zone Am I correct on this? I am requesting 2 rooms, so I am going to start at $90 and increase by $5 per rebid. Current cost $179
  15. Hello,I am a long time "researcher" on this website and long overdue on giving thanks for wonderful advice for many hotels, flights, cars etc. Here is my question, I am interested in a 4* Disneyland (Anaheim only) for 4/9/11-4/10/11 for a concert. I am ready to bid on the only 4* in that zone but when I did research on your hotel lists the Hilton Anaheim comes up as a 4* and I am not interested in that. If priceline is stating that Hilton is 3 1/2* can they just give me that instead of the Marriott? Thanks, again 4* Marriott $179
