Ok, having just booked....it brings me to a couple questions I'll post here too. When the hotwire 'hidden hotel' offers appear on your site, is there any rhyme or reason how long they might stay available? any pattern? or is it completely random? Could they appear, then be gone again in an hour? do they hang around for days? weeks? until "x" number of bookings are made? any feel for that?? Also, as mentioned, my booking says the hotel will choose room..'run of the house' I guess. I'm worried that when the hotel sees I paid $121/night thru hotwire, and someone else paid $264 thru their own, or other website- who's going to get a better room! Should I worry about that, or can I do anything about it? Or is it a case of 'ya pays yer money & ya takes yer chances'? Any advice? thanks.

Well, with your coaching, and with comments from the folks on TA, I just pulled the trigger on that $121 deal at the Venetian! Thanks! I was close to going with Cromwell, or Ballys based solely on LOCATION. Hope Venetian doesn't disappoint in that regard, but I wont know til I try it. All-in total incl.taxes, fees, resort fees= $593. (even remembered to put in your $10 off Hotwire Coupon!) Just 'for fun' I ran the dates thru booking.com ($1052) and the hotel website($1033).....so, looks good, no? Only little snag I see is that after I booked, the fine print says hotel will choose the room...which I dont think was pointed out on the offer... any comment on that? thanks there! let me digest all that, but when scanning thru hotels earlier I thought I saw Bally's in the mix there too, at few dollars more than T.I. Do you have any thoughts on Bally's? Also, does the Cosmopolitan ever show up on hotwire deals? thanks.

Back Again! Thanks thereuare! Sorry..got sidetracked for a bit...some minor surgery. All good now! Ok so i actually booked airline tickets. Hotel dates would be check-in Tue. Feb 4- checkout Fri. Feb 7 (3 nights) So I NEED a hotel! :) The Palazzo above sounds nice. Wonder if its still available? A quick check by me this morning may have missed it? But it appears Treasure Island might be available @$78 (plus). Not 100% sold on TI though...wonder if better hotel/better deal might come along, before I jump on this one? any comments? The last person got X hotel." I know they're not guaranteeing you'll get same. but the few times i've seen that msg. I DID get same hotel.

(didn't have to bother thereuare to help me figure it out LOL😎) FWIW, I also got the same hotel for a pre-cruise night April 6, thru HW at $164/night. Haven't stayed there before, but reviews seem OK for us.

update: I just rolled the dice on this booking.....and apparently I'm now staying at The (awesome) Riverside Hotel, Las Olas Blvd FLL !!! $164 + taxes/fees=$203 (still steep, for a few hours sleep...esp. when you pay additional 30% on the exchange rate.........but, what can you do?) yes, I appreciate that. It kinda all ties in together though - at least for me- as a 'total package' cost- vacation, airfares, hotels etc... to see if its viable /affordable. and the thing about HW etc. hotels is that you're locked in once you book.... so you want to be sure before you do. everything kinda firms up at the same time....for me anyway. I'll keep you posted :) ...looks like a "go" though....

ok.😃 if the Las Olas hotel was, in fact , The Riverside (not Marys Resort, which BTW some sites say this hotel is now CLOSED), I'd be interested. Not interested in the Ocean Palce. thanks. update: looking at the HW site, based on: 1-they guarantee its one of 4 hotels 2- they say "the last person got the riverside" 3 the number of TA reviews showing for this hotel seems to co-incide with the number for the riverside 4- Marys hotel seems to be blanked out..of the 4... I'd guess it IS the Riverside...... agree?

yes..I saw that. -#1 Marys Resort & #2 Ocean Beach Palace. I'm hesitant, because when I went on the HW site for the first hotel ($164)& went to the booking it said "hurry, the last person got Riverside Hotel"(which I'd take...not so sure about Marys place...) plus, I dont seem to see Marys Resort on your list of FLL HW hotels? any comment?
