  1. thanks for the help...will post results if and when I book the trip...and of course, will do it thru savingsbarn link.
  2. Can anyone help identifying the following NY hotel on Hotwire? Dates May 10, 2006...checking out May 16, 2006..listed $96 per nite. Listed as 3* "customer favorite", "best value" in Midtown Central (Midtown): Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center. I'm guessing from the pinned hotels list it could be Sheraton Manhattan, however, it does not list Best Value or Customer Favorite on pinned list. Thanks
  3. Does Hotwire offer this hotel? If so, what is the star rating and amenity description?
  4. Would this be the PAN PACIFIC instead of Pacific Palisades? Unable to find Palisades in Vancouver.
  5. Wow..what a difference in price...I would DEFINITELY Choose Orleans over Trop. Even if they were priced the same.
  6. The Tropicana has long passed its prime. Even though its location is right on the corner of the Strip and Tropicana Ave, it pales in comparison to the other 3 casinos it shares that corner with (Excalibur, MGM Grand, and NYNY). I've stayed MANY times at the Orleans and have become a repeat customer. Its location is on Tropicana Ave, but it is about a mile East of the Strip (other side of the 15 fwy). I usually drive to Vegas or when I fly, I rent a car, so driving isn't a problem. The Orleans has very nice rooms (standard is 450 sq ft, larger than most regular rooms), an 18 screen movie theatre on the 2nd floor and even a 70 lane bowling alley. The buffet is very good (several stations offering different types of food: Mexican, Italian, American, Mongolian BBQ, Chinese, much more and a very good dessert section too). The casino is big and seems to be quite roomy with high ceilings. Sometimes one can feel suffocated in the smaller smokier casinos. They also have a free shuttle to the strip. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
  7. The amenities Hotwire listed for the Sheraton Wall Centre were: restaurant, pool, fitness center, spa, hi-speed internet, and business center. I got 2 rooms for 1 night (pre-cruise) on 9/21/05 for $84 each. From what I've researched, it looks the this is a really nice hotel. I'm looking forward to my stay there.
  8. Hi....my first time here on these boards. I read some of the info about Hotwire for a 4* Vancouver hotel. With the amenities description and location that Hotwire gave, I figured it was between the Hyatt Regency and Sheraton Wall Centre so I gave it a shot. I was able to get the Sheraton Wall Centre for $84 a night. It looks like a very nice hotel......and even the lower budget ones are at least that much and frequently more
